Summary
Dr. W. D. Gaster is the royal scientist, working directly under King Asgore. After the monsters are sealed underground he is presented with new challenges. Food, water, power, all of these things are a far cry from the endless war machines he had designed on the surface. However, Gaster is eager to get back to the surface, to see the stars again. Despite the King's disapproval, the good doctor decides to take matters into his own hands...
Chapters are long and formatting might be weird, but I'm trying to make it readable. This story starts from the very beginning of the monsters being sealed to beyond the true pacifist ending. It explores the idea of a rather rash, asshole scientist creating Sans and Papyrus via cloning and explores their lives together as a rather dysfunctional family from start to finish.

Summary
These are small collections of events that happen within the AYEM universe. Most of them happen within chapter two, where Gaster and the boys are still living peacefully together in the Underground.

Summary
A prequel to A Year Every Minute, How To Build A Barrier will explore the life of Wingdings Gaster before the creation of Sans and Papyrus or the sealing of monsters in Mt. Ebott. You don’t need to read AYEM to understand anything about HTBAB, but knowing how Gaster ends up will certainly bring a whole new level of heartache for you if you have.
This story will inevitably explore mature themes such as death, PTSD, depression, and genocide.
