Summary
Little Alex Horne has spent a long, but satisfying, day serving his hero/dad/boss/owner, Lord Greg Davies at the Taskmaster house, but now it’s time for him to slink off to the caravan to sleep. Surely nothing unsettling has happened during the day that will weigh on his mind as he lies there, desperately lonely for His touch.
He panics – bucking and pushing with all his might – every instinct screaming through his blood. Fight! Flee! Fucking do something! But his every thrash is countered – pinning his other hand, his hips, his ankles. He smears his own face against the wall, his last outlet, when suddenly he feels firm warmth press against his cheek. A soft cradling hand holding him – stopping him from hitting his head.

Summary
Alex Horne is a lonely, desperate, man on the precipice of the biggest failure of his life - unable to find the perfect 'Taskmaster' to co-host his show. So he does what any normal person would do, alone and tipsy in an AirBnB in Chiswick - mock up a demon summoning ritual to see if it would make for good TV. Wouldn't it be funny? Wouldn't it be great comedy if it worked, if the demon saw right through him, at his deepest desires, and made a deal?
He closes his eyes, forgetting all about his made-up cameras, his desire to be good for the audience he’s never going to have, how his breath – flavoured with beer – feels warm against his fingers as he brings the match up to his lips, and breathes, “Let his cruelty be gentle and brilliant, and his kindness be viciously sharp. Make him wonderful – terrible – within the same breath; his voice I'd never deny. May his wants be never ending, and his praise so sweet and hard won. But most of all – more than anything – let me love him. With all that I have, forever, until I can give nothing more.”

Summary
In the studio, everything had seemed fine at first. Greg had been on fine form. Laughing and smiling – His grey eyes warm and full of charm as contestant after contestant had tried to entertain Him. Alex, by His side, had sighed happily when he thought Greg might not notice. And sighed wistfully when he was sure He wouldn’t – because grey was all those eyes had been for months now.
Not yawning, endlessly black.
A followup to "In Every Possible Way" written for the incredible LadyJekyll.
Little Alex Horne is back in the caravan, despairing of his loneliness and realising that he doesn't deserve to get what he wants - especially when what he fears/wants/needs is Him...
