Charlie broke up with Nick like in N+C but unlike that decided not to get back together with him. As the months pass, Charlie and Nick realize that they can be friends, but being with Charlie also puts Nick in close proximity to Oliver (who is 17-18) so they are also friends and have been for years. Over the years of moving on from being Nick and Charlie- Charlie has fallen for David, Nick's brother, a fact which Nick was unaware. He develops feelings for Olly but Nick being Nick thinks that would make him a bad person and people would look down on him for pursuing Olly. That is until David and Charlie come out as a couple.
