His sigh escapes him this time, along with his own worried thoughts. “Suletta.” He reaches over her wheelchair’s arm and takes her right hand away from her screen, moving it to the panel of buttons that controls her seat. She wants to bring it back to her phone, he can feel it, but he wraps his hand around her smaller one. He would not let go.
That’s when Suletta finally notices him. “I’m,” she stammers, drawing a hasty smile on her lips, “s, sorry…Mr. Guel. I’m just…so worried about Mi—Miorine.” Well, of course. It’s always Miorine with Suletta, of course. “She…sh, she’s never been on a flight during a geomagnetic storm before.”

Your problem,” her buddy pulls his gun from his holster, “is to get back in line,” and aims it at Half-wit’s head, “or I blow your pink head off.” It’s a suitable threat that inspires panic amongst the rest of the crew who can only look in fear at the proceedings. Really, so useless. This guy is going the lengths to defy the Fold and they stay meek as sheep? How did Spacians ever make it to the top of the pecking order?!
Well, Half-wit scowls as he leaves his captain to float on his own devices and raises his hands—
Even Sophie is struck dumb when Half-wit suddenly grabs her buddy’s aiming arm and shoves him back against the wall where her buddy loses his gun at the impact. Another of her teammates hurries to pull her gun at the renegade but he successfully subdues her when he flings her first buddy at her while she’s approaching—what the hell, is he really a part of this dumb crew?!

She’s seen him around. Pink bangs, perfectly coiffed, long dark hair, striking blue eyes and a perpetual frown on his brows and his lips. Hard not to, given his characteristics, but more to the point, she knows he’s one of the famous Spacians in the campus! She knows him by face, but not by name.
Well, this is a little embarrassing.
“U, umm…” Nika makes an attempt for good manners. He’s kind of scary…in a larger-than-life kind of way, but at least it doesn’t look like he’s going to eat her. “Thank you for saving me.”
