Summary
Gorou didn't know how it felt to deny his own feelings. He was used to saying what was on his mind, addressing an issue quickly and without delay.
And then Itto stumbled into his life with his brilliant smile and geometric, crimson eyes that always seemed to be smiling. Their mild companionship during routes shifted to spending nearly every day by each other's side, and his affection grew and grew and grew until Gorou felt it couldn't possibly grow any further.
Yet it did. And Gorou, like a moth to a light source, flew too close to Itto's brilliance, close enough to indulge - abuse - the platonic intimacy of their relationship, and still, unable to admit his growing infatuation in a way that wouldn't ruin it all for the two of them. So, he kept quiet and bathed in the benevolence.
It never occurred to him that a dog could willingly put a muzzle on itself.

Summary
The two of them quickly earned a reputation for their back-and-forth disputes. They were called the Top Dog Delinquent Duo, and not for any positive reasons. Gorou had a knack for sensing when Itto messed up and would lecture him. This would lead to a squabble, for Itto was never one to back down when he thought he wasn’t in the wrong, and it would go on for who knows how long. Not even the higherups could stop them, and even if they did, it would take only a few days for them to go back to snapping and snarling.
So, of course, it’s a surprise to one particular soldier when he finds the two sucking face in the changing room.

Or, alternatively, Gorou becomes a general, and he and Itto get married. During a dinner with close military friends, Beidou mentions the incredibly noticeable bite mark on Itto's neck, and chaos ensued.

Summary
It was approximately twenty minutes into their study session that a mild disturbance occurred, disturbing the concentrative atmosphere in the room. It came in the form of a faint, raspy grumble.
“Thoma.” Said man paused in filling out his quizlet and glanced over his shoulder, scanning over Itto’s limp, splayed body for signs of potential issues. When he came up emptyhanded, Thoma replied with a soft ‘hm?’
“Can you toss me a lollipop.”
“No.”
Itto blinked sluggishly at Thoma, and, slowly but steadily, his eyes shifted into a determined squint, as if he were trying to intimidate his roommate.
An admittedly stupid move, if Ayato had a say.

Alternative Summary: Ayato visits Thoma's dorm looking to study together, but instead of his familiar friend, a towering oni with three too many hair ties adorning his forearm opens the door. Left together in a single dorm, what could possibly go wrong?
