Summary
“‘S a bird’s nest. Outside the window,” Izzy says, tucking himself into Ed’s shoulder. One of his hands comes up, his thumb running over his bottom lip, something Stede has seen him do when he’s deep in thought. Ed, though, subtly takes Izzy’s hand and flattens it against his own chest, his other hand coming up to comb through his hair.
“Oh yeah? When did that get there?” he asks, peeking around Izzy and getting a look at the underside of the awning. “It looks nice, don’t you think?”

He leans against the counter, reaching for one of Izzy’s hands, tracing his thumb over the knuckles. “Let go, birdy. It’s okay.”
