“Yours is a family of crowns and embers,” he says steadily, “The embers will fan into a flame in your daughter. Her spirit will be one of fire. Her soul will burn brighter than the stars themselves, and she will be a thorn in the side of the Dark Lord.”

Elran is an elf, born in the First Age, brother of Gil-Galad and Finduilas, youngest son of Orodreth. Elran grows apart from his brother, finding that they are very different people, and eventually starts his own family with someone unexpected- a mortal woman, and a half-elf daughter whose soul burns like fire.
This series follows the story of Elran and his family, his life in the first age, how he fell in love, and how his daughter became a thorn in the side of the Dark Lord Sauron.
