Summary
Pete has no idea what he wants to say, doesn’t know anything except that he wants Vegas to be here. To have the reassurance that he didn’t just up and leave and that Pete will get to feel him again. Get to experience the thrill of being Vegas’…at least for another brief moment before the man leaves again, leaving Pete to wait. Pete feels pathetic, when did Vegas become such a fundamental part of his life?

“Tough day?” Pete asked, and Vegas is aware Pete knows so he doesn’t bother lying. When he’d become so trusting of the bodyguard Vegas wasn’t sure, but at some point he had.
Vegas distantly wonders how pathetic he must look in Pete’s eyes - so isolated and alone he turned to a main family bodyguard for comfort. Except Pete is a lot more than that, his brain tried to offer. Vegas brushed it off.

“I have something to show you.”
Vegas hummed as he shifted his attention to Pete in his lap, noticing his fingers were still moving through Pete’s silky hair. “You do?”
“Yeah,” Pete whispered, shifting far enough to drop a kiss onto Vegas’ knuckles before getting up. “Wait here.”
Vegas knew what to expect as a strong sense of deja vu hit him at Pete entering the closet with a nervous note in his step. That is new, Vegas noted, discarding the book he was reading on the nightstand and moving to the end of the bed. Pete hasn’t been nervous about his pick of clothes ever since that first time, and that could only mean this is something different. Maybe it’s not even fashion related, Vegas mulled it over as he tried to brace himself for what awaits him when Pete steps outside.

Pete's taste finally comes to light after all the years spent in tailored suits. Vegas is into it.
