Summary
Bond is on a mission. He finds a woman. Q is in his ear, and Bond begins to blot out the nameless woman in favour of frantic images of his Quartermaster...
He pushes the woman back against the bed, crawling, predatorily, over her body. He blinks, and in that heartbeat, can see Q’s wide eyes staring up at him, sharp, mercurial, fathomless. He imagines every facet of Q, and being the person to take everything that he is for his own.

Summary
The earpieces keep them linked; Bond can only listen and speak pointless words to Q, as a man with a vendetta takes out his anger.
Bond hears the slap, and hisses with anger. Q doesn’t make a noise, his defiance painted in silence. “Q, which part of ‘don’t piss them off’ is escaping you?” Bond asks, worry causing a sharp screech, a mistuned wailing violin.

Summary
Bond leaves him.
The silence is overwhelming, all-consuming. They have been connected through earpieces for the better part of nineteen months. Four months of simply working together. Fifteen romantically involved. Fourteen living together. Eight since The Incident. Five since Q came to terms with the disconcerting realisation that he was in love with James Bond.
Unable to cope with the silence that is eating him alive, Q starts to scream.
