Selina's canon backstory is COMPLICATED during RobinJay and early RobinTim timelines. DC was more concerned in the late 80's/early 90's with telling individual Catwoman stories & Batman/Catwoman interactions vs making the stories actually fit together. Likewise, DC couldn't make up their mind on whether Selina knew Batman was Bruce Wayne until Hush. One issue she'd know, and a few issues later she wouldn't, back and forth for DECADES. Like I said, DC really didn't care about continuity as far as Selina was concerned for the longest time.
Things we are considering canon here:
- Sister Magdalene is Selina's sister
- Catwoman (Volume 2) #0's childhood Selina story - https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Catwoman_Vol_2_0
- Selina's background as a prostitute/dominatrix. Basically her Year One storyline.
- Selina took in Holly Robinson while they were both prostitutes, took her with when she became a thief, and did leave her with Maggie after.

*** A lot of Catwoman (Volume 2) cannot be considered canon in this fic due to Tim's presence. No constant traveling out of country, no roommate "Arizona", no constant blowing up of her apartments (which seemed to be for drama rather than making sense to begin with- why did everyone always know where she lived???). However, a lot of the individual stories still fit in, as well as a lot of her Batman interactions ***
- At the time of this fic starting, Selina is the long-haired purple suit Catwoman.
- After the time skip she has switched back to short hair, and has donned the black suit with cowl and goggles.
- Selina does NOT have Tim in the field as a child. Holly was frequently injured and almost died, and RobinJay died, Selina knows better.
