Perhaps, the winds had told the other of one's struggle. Or maybe, it was a mere coincidence. Needless to say, Zhongli arrived in Wangshu Inn in hopes of meeting Xiao. He knew that the Conqueror Of Demons must've been busy at a night like this, but he still wanted to check if he was there.

Summary
After finding the truth of Bosacius's Fate, Xiao knew he was truly the last one left. As such, he knew he had to truly take the burden of his duties until the day comes. On the other hand, after saving him, Zhongli had different plans for the little Adeptus. He wanted him to finally experience the long-deserved freedom he had once wished the Yaksha had. With the help of Zhongli, Xiao is being guided to a new path, one that would not let him meet the same fate as his comrades. It was different from his usual daily dose of death and slaughter.

Summary
If Zhongli were to be honest, he had other plans. He wasn't expecting Xiao to protect him, he hoped the other did not view it that way. Needless to say, he could easily read Xiao's tired figure from the droopy eyelashes and slacked off posture. As much as Xiao tries to hide it, he is tired. All the fighting and slaying of corrupted monsters during lantern rite has drained much of his energy. They were stronger than usual, but it was still nothing he couldn't handle.

Even so, being a mortal in his current form had its own share of struggles. One of the many, was coughing up... petals. At first, he didn't understand. He never saw a mortal cough up petals as a disease in his whole life span. Besides, it's often the fever or flu that comes by for them. So when Zhongli sees himself coughing up petals more than frequently, he slowly grew concerned.
