Damian watches him carefully as he sips on Atai bil Na’na'. A labored breath when he lifts the lid off the skillet. A stifled moan of pain when he bends down to get the yogurt from the bottom drawer in the refrigerator. A disgruntled grimace when the bacon oil pops, leaving a scant burn on his skin.
Damian gently places his tea cup in the saucer.
This cannot continue.

Summary
Motion is her first language with sight as her tongue and movement, her speech.
When she invites Damian to dance with her, she thinks that he’ll be just as fascinated as her with the fact that motion can be used for pure expression.
After all, he was raised by the League, where many hours are dedicated to perfecting techniques that will extinguish life. Instead of using movement as an instrument for expression, the League makes it mechanical, stripping it of its humanity in the process.
Wasted movement is a sign of a failure because an assassin has no use for expression, let alone emotion.
But Damian’s body screams a cacophony of clashing emotions.
Terror, indignation, despair, uncertainty.
But the last sentiment is the worst.
Unwanted.

But Father sits comfortably on his throne fashioned by sanctimony and pietism as Damian's hands are sanded to the bone in an attempt to save all the lives he has encountered and his legs can't support the weight of the lives he has taken along with his verdict, heavy in its righteousness. Condemn, condemn, condemn are reflected in Father's ice cold irises as he scrambles to right his wrongs.

Summary
He doesn’t ask for much. He’s never underfoot, disturbing his father’s work. The ferocity of his moves has somewhat been curbed when he patrols as Robin. Sticky notes with reminders about his art showcases at school are left unread and his absence is noted when Pennyworth, Grayson, Cassandra, and Brown attend various viewings. These things are never mentioned with the unspoken understanding that Father will be there when you need him most.
So why is it that the only time he needs him to be here, he’s gone?
Lightning crackles as the thumping rain hits the shingled roof at breakneck speed. Damian cowers under the covers, hands clamped over his ears and eyes clamped shut, not wanting to hear the thunderous echo that is sure to follow.
He just needs someone to be here.

His vision swims as ambe—no, jade eyes pinned Jason where he stands on the tiled floors of the palatial al Ghul compound, a mixture of gentle warmth and visceral disgust in its depths.
Strategically placed raven locks begins the look, the scent of amla transporting him to the time Talia’s soft caresses massaging jasmine oil into his messy midnight strands so that his hair will be healthy and strong, like Hephaestion, Alexander the Great’s dear friend.
The cherry red dress provides a perfect contrast to the caramel skin dusted with sun kissed specks. It reminds him of the arms that freely offered a safe space for him to break down and sob noisily about the Replacement.
