Summary
All Cin wants is to be given the command of a new elite force of Rangers, so that she can allow women to join as well as men.
Unfortunately it looks like her main competitor for the job is Boromir. That is, Boromir who kissed her that time back in Edoras during the Ring quest (irrelevant) and who somehow manages to make her breath catch in her throat every time she sees him (meaningless) and who everyone else seems to think she's destined to marry (inconvenient and annoying).
But Boromir keeps surprising her, and she can't decide if this feeling in her chest every time she sees him is annoyance (most likely) - or something else.Series

Summary
Regency AU: Cin, ward of the Lord of Rivendell and cousin to Aragorn Telcontar, the Prince of Gondor, has sworn to never marry. There is no need, financially or otherwise; she is perfectly happy with the way things are. Her friends, however, are extremely determined to set her up with their various brothers.
Fortunately, she meets the Colonel Boromir Hurin, who she happens to know has made the exact same oath, and decides he is perfect for serving as a buffer against unwanted advances. Cin can’t see any problems with spending time with him - it’s a completely foolproof plan.
