Summary
Izuku looks contemplative for a moment, and then his face lights up, which means he’s got an idea. He turns to the entire common room and spreads his arms out wide, beaming and standing on the coffee table for good measure.
“Oh, fuck no,” Bakugou groans, his face turning a little red. Denki grins; he loves it when people embarrass Bakugou. It’s his one and only reason to live.
“Everyone!” Izuku yells, “if I may have your attention!”

Contrary to popular opinion, Bakugou Katsuki does care about people. He just has weird ways of showing it.
And his friends? Well, they care about him right back. And now that Deku's finally his friend again? He's gonna show it, too.
Or: Katsuki accidentally lets himself love, and ends up not regretting it.

Summary
Over their months at UA, this sort of Deku-Dynamite rivalry among fans has started to rise. Most people who like Izuku tend to hate Kacchan, for some inexplicable reason (well, maybe a little explicable, but still). Kacchan gets a ridiculous amount of bad press for the sports festival, being kidnapped by the League, and causing the downfall of All Might. Which, first of all, they shouldn’t have tied him up at the sports festival in the first place. And who blames the person who got kidnapped for their own kidnapping?

The press hates Katsuki. Izuku hates the press. So when the press goes too far, Izuku is going to be there for Katsuki.

Stretching, Izuku gets up from the couch and forces himself to walk to the kitchen. He starts making himself some coffee and startles when he sees breakfast already made on the counter. It’s just some eggs, but Kacchan makes really good eggs. Even when it’s eight in the morning, he’s just gotten home, and he’s incredibly tired. Guilt gnaws at Izuku’s stomach, he really should’ve been more helpful.
Sighing to himself, Izuku picks up the note left next to the plate.
'Stop worrying, Deku. You can’t cook for shit anyway.'
Izuku snorts. Kacchan always knows what he’s thinking, doesn’t he?

Not enough for them to stay in touch, not enough for them to keep being friends even a country apart, even continents apart eventually.
Katsuki worries that he’s losing Deku.
