They’ve lived and fought and worked together for thirty odd years, and Adam cannot accept that there will be a time when he looks to his right and doesn’t see Elidh sat there. That’s why he insisted on escorting Elidh back to his home world of Fortia. Just two retired generals taking one last trip on their old ship, sitting and watching the stars go by as they share a drink for old time’s sake.
