Summary
“Well, Bucky and I had been discussing having a child,” Sam said holding Bucky's hand as Bucky was blushing. Sharon couldn’t tell if he was blushing from nerves or because he was just that in love with Sam.
“Well, congrats,” Sharon said, raising her wine glass.
“The thing is we don’t want to adopt…” Sam trailed off. He didn't know the best way to say this.
“We want you to carry Sam’s baby,” Bucky blurted as Sharon choked on her glass of wine. Sam sighed.

Summary
The Sunday morning sun shined through the window blinds that gave a view of the big picket-fenced backyard. Bucky could feel the radiating warmth coming off of Sam’s body as he snuggled close against his husband’s back. Bucky relished in the warm feeling of his husband; he had felt so lonely because Sam had been away for the last two days on a mission. The sound of feet walking across the hardwood floor could be heard coming from the hallway.

Bucky pulled the warm cake out of the oven as a four-year-old Odette stepped onto her princess-themed step stool.
“Papa gonna love my cake cause it gonna have a pretty princess on it,” She said happily putting on the apron her Aunt Sarah gave her last Christmas.
“Oh, so it’s your cake now, is it? Not our cake?” Bucky chuckled as Odette nodded her head, happily humming.

Summary
The early morning sun shimmered off white linen curtains reflecting a small rainbow off the small chandelier that hung from the ceiling. Sam had Bucky’s pillow tucked under his arm not realizing his husband had left the bed. He had a long day before not being able to get home to his family until three am, so he didn’t mind that the clock was inching closer to eleven a.m.

Summary
“Alright, you are fifteen, and I trust you, but when you get the home turn off the crockpot, I have roast beef in there,” Bucky said as a smile spread across Odette’s face. She had come to realize that her dad only made roast beef when her papa was coming home from missions, leaving her dad time to buy her papa flowers and candy and a new first aid kit.
“Is papa coming home!” Odette said, excited it had been three weeks since her papa left for another mission. Odette didn’t hate the fact that her dad was Captain America because it was cool when she was younger to see her dad save the world on t.v. but as she got older, she started to miss him more.

Summary
A small suitcase was being pulled down from the hall closet as a disgruntled six-year-old looked on. The small child followed her papa, stomping her slipper sock-covered feet.
“Oh, you better not pout,” Sam says in a sing-song voice as the child tries not to giggle.
“Do you have to go?” Odette said, throwing her tiny body on the bed dramatically.
“Oh, honey, I won’t be gone long. I’ll only be gone for four days,” Sam said as Bucky came in with a laundry basket.
