He finds his lovers curled up in bed, a bottle of oil spilled and forgotten as it drips on the floor. Patroclus has Zagreus wrapped up in his arms as the lad sobs uncontrollably into the crook of his shoulder. Achilles stops in the doorway, hesitant to interrupt the scene in front of him. Patroclus’ gaze flicks up from Zagreus’ shaking form to meet Achilles’ eyes.
