Summary
"My boyfriend!" Rin's voice squeaked an octave higher. Haruka's English was, admittedly, not so great, but he's been working on it, so he understood full well what Rin referred to him as. Haruka saw Rin's... acquaintance face fall and could basically see his heart breaking in 740p.
"Really?" He breathed out.
"Yup! High school sweethearts and all that jazz." Rin lied a little too easily.
Brent turned to Haru again, his expression filled with melancholy and jealousy.
"You're really Rin's boyfriend?"
Haruka sighed and had to dig through his brain for his mental English dictionary and answered, "Yes. That is correct. Rin is my boyfriend and I am Rin's."

Summary
Haruka was settled professionally in front of the piano, a microphone in front of him. He looked elegant and like he belonged there. He positioned his fingers, hovering over the ivory keys and took a deep breath. The first chords of the piano sliced through the thick silence so cleanly, so gracefully and Rin couldn’t help but gasp. And then… and then Haruka sang his first note and the air was completely knocked out of Rin. He now knew why Haruka had chosen a mask that didn’t cover his mouth and his earlier skeptics were washed away like it never existed in the first place. Rin stood there, entranced by the way the singer’s lips were moving and the way his voice danced around the ballroom, owning the place. Rin’s mask covers his left side, curving around his mouth, leaving it uncovered, making anyone around him gape at the man performing.

Summary
“You’re still an idiot, Haru. You knew you had an umbrella.” Rin teased, his tone lovestruck.
“And you still took care of me, which also makes you an idiot. How will I learn my lesson, Rin?” The other bites back.
“Why are you like this?”
“You love me like this.”
“Yeah, I do.”

Be it a simple note left on the fridge, a simple gesture after a long day, a random text about something that reminded them of the other. Their lives were intertwined and walked the same path despite the difference in their natures. But it worked, they made it work.

Summary
“It’s nice here, isn’t it?” His mother asks. He shrugs.
“I heard they have good mackerel.” His father comments, which almost made Haruka engage in conversation. But before he could complete his breath, the same hostess came up to their booth announcing the arrival of the rest of their party. She moved the curtain aside, making way for their new guests.
Haruka looks up and he forgets to breathe.
