Summary
“There are movements in the tundra, and the beating of wings in a sky without light. We must meet the avalanche head-on if we are to survive, with the stars fading behind us as we go.”
The first book in the Open Skies series! May confuse those unfamiliar with the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. These are my original characters in an original tundra setting!
Updates every other week!

Summary
"Her mate was an unpredictable tom—some days he would be attentive as ever, and some days her every word seemed to fall on deaf ears. In fact, recently she’d had trouble getting him to even acknowledge her presence at all. But at least he listened to her now, on a night when it was important, and that gave her hope. She could not handle having this ignored any longer."
A stand-alone scene from the canon of my Open Skies warriors series! I recommend not reading this until you finish Chapter 9 of Blood in the Tundra (also in this series), but after then it can be read any time!
Trigger Warning: please be aware that this work directly depicts a neglectful and manipulative relationship, as well as verbal manipulation/abuse. If this triggers you, please know this work isn't necessary to read for the canon of this series, and put your mental health first!

“Can’t you try to talk some sense into him?”
“Greylight,” she sighed, “you know he won’t listen. He never does! All that would happen is that I would end up like Nightpatch.”
“You realize you’re setting an example, don’t you?” Greylight hissed. “You realize the cats in this Clan pay attention to what you do? You’re just as responsible for all this complacency as everyone else!”

A stand-alone scene from the canon of my Open Skies warriors series! I recommend not reading this until you finish Chapter 12 of Blood in the Tundra (also in this series), but after then it can be read any time!
Trigger Warning: Please be aware that this work depicts the aftermath of physical child abuse, done under the guise of warrior training. The actual actions aren't described, but the injuries and circumstances are mentioned, and the child in question is shown in pain. If this triggers you, please know this work isn't necessary to read for the canon of this series, and put your mental health first!

Mink-kit and her siblings hurried to follow their mother’s now frantic pace. Mink-kit could tell from the expressions on her brothers’ faces that they were frightened, but she couldn’t tell why. Didn’t they trust their mother?

A stand-alone scene from the canon of my Open Skies warriors series! I recommend not reading this until you finish Chapter 16 of Blood in the Tundra (also in this series), but after then it can be read any time!
Trigger Warning: Please be aware that this work depicts the direct neglect and abandonment of children roughly toddler-aged. There is also implied child death at the end of this piece. If this triggers you, please know this work isn't necessary to read for the canon of this series, and put your mental health first!

Summary
“Can I ask what’s going on now?” Avalanche finally piped up. “We’ve been walking for ages and you haven’t explained."
“We’re going to the border between PineClan and the Wasteland,” No-shine said tersely. Their conversation lapsed as Avalanche waited for further insight that never came.
“But…why are we going there?” they asked, attempting to urge her on.
“Oh, foxdung, you really don’t know anything, do you?” No-shine huffed and looked over her shoulder just to roll her eyes at Avalanche. “StarClan spirits can’t speak with cats outside of Clan territory, of course.”
“But why do they need me? I’m not a warrior! Like you said, I hardly know anything about them."

I recommend not reading this until you finish Chapter 27 of Blood in the Tundra (also in this series), but after then it can be read any time! (As long as you remember the events of that chapter, that is—it takes place directly after!)Series
