Yeah, the unhealthy aspect of Canon is part of why I got turned off Bagginshield. For the most part, I prefer my ships healthy, though certain stray muses have given me some messed up fics here and there.
I definitely understand the pain of small ships where you're so desperate to see it that you'll read pretty much anything, even those fics with terrible grammar and no capital letters 😉
I can't even think of a Kili/Ori fic so you may have the smallest one out there. I have trouble shipping Ori at all, except with Dwalin for some reason, but I could see that being cute. And writing what you wish you could read is how I got started 😄.
Ori/Dwalin is rather cute but I am not overly fan. And I find that Ori and Kili complement each other so well, and they are close in age as well. And I have so many ideas for fanfics but the second I try to write I am stuck… writer block happens, I guess
And yeah, sigh, writers block.... I've got a few fics they have been WIPs for something like 10 years at this point. You could try a different format and see if that works. I can sometimes write on paper when I can't type it.
Paper is worse than typing because my handwriting is terrible, but I found writing on my phone helps somewhat. And 10 years is long! I hope you will find how to finish them.
Whatever method works that's the one 👍 And yeah, they're definitely in the finish someday pile. I've got an avengers series I'm finally posting the last fic for so there's hope. I just gotta do it.
