You begin to develop some annoying feelings towards your captain after he rescues you from a close-up encounter with a titan. But as you attempt to pursue those feelings, you begin to realize Levi might be more inexperienced than you could have ever guessed.

At this proximity, you notice for the first time his eyes aren't black like you'd thought. They're a deep silver, with small flickers of lovely navy blue shimmering within the dark pools. Your mouth goes dry, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious. Levi releases you before awkwardly patting your shoulder, lips pursed and unwilling to meet your eyes. He stiffly attempts to reposition his hands before giving up and turning his back on you. He retreats, aiming his grapple off into the distance without so much as a goodbye or even a backwards glance.You gape as you watch his departing form, baffled by both his quick rescue, and his reaction to being thanked.
So this is what humanity's strong solider is capable of.
