Summary
Ranboo was confusing. He was anxious and a people-pleaser, always wanting to take all sides or none in a conflict. Sometimes he barely made it through a conversation with someone he wasn’t entirely comfortable with yet, stammering and repeating words and nine times out of ten leaving the conversation more flustered than he started.
Yet sometimes, he’d respond to Tubbo’s jabs with a quick wit he almost never sees out of the other. He’s funny, and sometimes he’s charismatic, and maybe if Tubbo were to dig into his own mind a little bit he’d find that Ranboo’s pretty easy on the eyes as well. But he doesn’t indulge himself in those thoughts too often.

Ranboo can’t pinpoint the exact time and place, but. He’s lost himself along the way.
It doesn’t feel good. Losing yourself. He’s being torn apart into two states of mind. The unconscious part of him that’s trying to save the server. The conscious part of him that’s trying to save his family.
Family comes first, he reminds himself.

(or) Ranboo goes to sleep and prays every night, to whichever god he can, that he’ll remember his family when he wakes up.
It’s a vicious cycle.

Summary
He curls up into a ball for a second, hoping it will pop his back a little, that curling up and stretching out his bones will make them feel a little less pressurized. There’s a brief second of relief, pure relief, that makes Tubbo sigh with content. Ranboo is already up and gone, probably moving around the kitchen, making breakfast for their son.
Tubbo feels old.

"All in all it should have been a good night. It was supposed to be a good night.
Except…. except Ranboo had been distant. That was the only way he knew how to describe it. Ranboo who normally tolerated (and even encouraged) Tubbo’s physical affection hovered just out of arm’s reach. Where Tubbo would normally be hanging on Ranboo’s arm or resting his head on Ranboo's shoulder, Ranboo stayed away. And, he was hardly speaking. All Tubbo's jokes had fallen flat between them and silence filled the space between them in a way it never had before.
Something was wrong."
Ranboo comes home and is oddly distant to his family. Tubbo has to figure out why.
