His handwriting trails off in the middle of a verse. He remembers why—Jisung had texted him a meme mid-writing, and he’d laughed so hard he dropped his pen. He never picked it back up.
Now, staring at the ink-stained page, Minho feels something tighten in his chest.

“We’re going to formally announce you two as a couple.”
There was a stunned silence and it felt like the entire room had stopped moving. It seemed like no one breathed for an eternity.
“What?” Jisung suddenly screeched, throwing his chair back as he stood rapidly.
“Jisung, please sit.” Their manager spoke calmly. Jisung obliged. “It’s been decided. The response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive, which is a great sign considering the overall opinion on same-sex relationships in this country. We’ve decided to take advantage of this opportunity, and seeing as the two of you are already extremely close it shouldn’t be an issue.”
When neither boy responded, he narrowed his eyes at them both.
“It won’t be an issue, correct?”

Minho sits up, moves his foot and winces; he shakes his head. The man with the light helps bring Minho to his feet, then he leans on Felix and they exit the area. This… incident has cost them fifteen seconds when they only had thirty; Minho strips off the leather jacket, dropping it to the floor and blindly grabs the white jacket that’s handed to him.
“How bad?” Felix asks.
