Summary
Two cartons of milk were all it took for roommates Keith and Lance to decide they should just do all of their grocery shopping together. They realize pretty quickly that it's a bit difficult to bicker and shop at the same time. Thus, The Grocery Truce is born. The truce states that while they're outside the store, they can be as mean to one another as they want, but when they're inside, they have to play nice.
Turns out, the main thing Keith looks for in a man is someone who knows what brand of protein bar he likes.

Keith had no idea what was considered “too fast” in a relationship. He and Lance hadn’t even been dating for a whole month yet and Keith already wanted to jump his bones at any given time. But the thing was, he liked Lance. Like, really, really liked Lance. And the absolute last thing he wanted to do was ruin this with his stupid impulsive habits.
It didn't help that Lance was practically a walking wet dream. With his charismatic smiles and toned arms and long legs, and his hands—god, his hands. They weren’t thick necessarily, but his fingers were long and dexterous and covered in all these little calluses from the tools they used and the guitar he’d still yet to see him play. "You hid an injury." Keith was at the end of the cot, gripping the bed frame with knuckles turned white. He looked so angry his face had gone pale in places, and he trembled. His black eyes danced like hot coals in the base of a fire. "And then you took on a druid all by yourself and got yourself cursed."

After a run-in with an angry queen, Keith is left to travel through alternate realities — ones that are entirely too good to be true — because in each and every one of them, he's dating Lance. Keith struggles to find his way back to his own reality, all while trying not to fall more and more in love with Lance in every new one he experiences.
