Stationed at a solitary scientific outpost in the middle of space, Jungkook intercepts the exact same messages of unknown origin every day at exactly the same time.
“Blue quark to Red quark. Check. Clear.”
“Green quark to Red quark. Check. Clear”
“Red quark to Blue and Green. Received. Hold.”One day, the pattern shifts. The message changes. A few seconds later, one of their three moons completely disappears. The mission to investigate this event falls onto Jungkook and his friends, astronomer Namjoon and physicist Jimin. The problem is that the ones behind the messages may not be all that friendly, at least at first, and it may take some convincing (and maybe some near death experiences) for them to give up their secrets.

He looked up, and pointed to the star. It was far away, and fading.
“That one will be my new home.”
“If that’s what you want, Taehyung. Then that’s what you should do,” Namjoon said softly.
“We’ll help you get there,” Jungkook said, setting a hand on Taehyung’s shoulder.
Taehyung sat pensively for a moment, and then broke into a big, boxy smile.

He wonders if Hoseok was a supernova before he fragmented. He’s beautiful, almost blindingly so, and Taehyung feels like he barely has a moment to catch him before his chance is over.
But Hoseok’s smile has started to loosen up, heart-shaped and sweet, and Taehyung feels hopeful.Fragments of former stars bond with each other to move spaceships faster than light. Hoseok has had a lot of trouble with forming that bond, but will Taehyung change that?

Yoongi’s species is only a Level 2 on the Intergalactic Emotional Awareness Scale. Which means he’s not really capable of feeling love or any complex emotions. But he was the sole person chosen to represent his species for the new alien exchange program and he wants to make a good impression.
For the foreseeable future, he will be living on the spacecraft of a species called “humans”. Who, at Level 5, have a greater capacity for emotions than 96% of all intelligent life in the known galaxies. And they are determined to share them all with Yoongi.
