I love everything this author has written. This one is a complex work drawing little to none from fanon or extended universe. Builds on canon without reimagining any of the unpleasant parts, instead extrapolating on implication and analysis of the text to construct a more fleshed out world.
Example: in the books, there is no example of a married woman having her own bank account, and in fact evidence to the contrary.
Example 2: the argument "Merope was too poor and ugly to catch a man like that, so she must've used a love potion" is really quite foul. She was infatuated, isolated, and incredibly vulnerable, and therefore easy to take advantage of.
