Intro:

Hello?

It's [current year], and you're interested in the Victors' Tower collection? Well, hi! If you've only now found this, first of all, how, but feel free to look around and read some fics! This is pretty much an inactive project at this point, but a lot of us are still proud of our writing and get a warm feeling when new people are interested in this universe. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy!

If you're an older reader and are back for some nostalgia, hi! Hello! I'm glad you're here, and thank you for all your support back in the day. It's good to see you again :)

Whether you're an old or new enjoyer, you should absolutely check out and I said, ‘there is none’ (floor two), Havok's revamp of the VT universe! It's more focused on the characters of the Dream SMP rather than the content creators, and is also meant to be a standalone rather than becoming a part of an extended universe again. I'd absolutely recommend it if you have any affection for the VT universe! Havok's done a fantastic job, as usual, and I really think you'll enjoy it.

And of course, if you have any interest in this collection whatsoever, past or present, join our discord server! You can find a link in the documents below, or you can ask in the comments of one of our works. Most of the original writers are still kicking in different parts of the community, and we'd love to have you around! HOWEVER, please check the rules at the bottom of the collection before you do; we still stand by what we've outlined as unacceptable for the collection, so if you write NSFW or gore with real content creators (though there's a little more leeway with stuff that's canon-typical to the Dream SMP), or anything that crosses a CC's boundaries, you'll probably not be a good fit for the server.

Everything below here on the profile has been left almost exactly as it was in the active period of the collection (besides the note outlining our response to CMC). May include some outdated information or broken links (including within the attached documents), sorry about that in advance.

Introduction

This collection features works from the Victors' Tower/Floor 6 universe, originating from WreakingHavok's fic "as I get older (floor 6)". The AU is based on the Hunger Games series (although without depicting the violence and death involved) and originally featured the Lunch Club YouTube group as its main cast, but now also includes a lot of other YouTubers, streamers, and content creators (including but not limited to Wilbur Soot, TommyInnit, OfflineTV, Ninja and Filthy Frank. Yeah, we don't know how we got here either.)

If you'd like to learn more about the collection, its history, and the fics it features, be sure to read the Reader's Guide to the Victors' Tower kindly written by Khio.

Other helpful links:
Spreadsheet featuring the works in the collection
Full spoiler-free cast list (although this may no longer be fully accurate)
A Writer's Guide to the Victors' Tower (especially useful if you'd like an overview of the universe for the purposes of writing for it)
We also have a Discord server! It's no longer solely VT-focused, but if you're interested in the universe it's a great place to come talk to us. If you'd like to join, feel free to ask in the comments of any of the writers, and we'll send you the link.

Thank you for reading! :)

Concerning CallMeCarson, as I get older, and the future of the Victors' Tower AU

The main collective of VT writers are aware of the allegations made against CallMeCarson, and we want to make it clear that we do not support him or condone his actions in any way. As he was originally one of the main featured creators in this universe, this is a slighly complicated issue. There will not be one single solution to this; as WreakingHavok has chosen to delete "as I get older" and the collective "canon" has essentially been discontinued, it is up to each individual writer what they will do with their works featuring him. There will not be one single community-wide replacement for him (such as what happened with the replacement of Pyrocynical with Philza). Some authors have chosen to discontinue or delete their works, while others are choosing to edit them and replace Carson with another creator of their own choice. The only collaborative decision that has been made is that Carson should no longer play a role in this universe due to his actions, but of course we can't control what choices each individual writer will make (especially concerning older works, the writers of which may not be involved with the universe anymore).

I wish the best for everybody who has been affected by this situation and by Carson’s actions.

That being said: even though as I get older is gone, that doesn't mean this universe has to end. Many writers are still choosing to keep their works up, and new additions to this collection are still more than welcome! This AU has grown far beyond what anyone could have imagined when we first started writing for it, so absolutely keep writing if you wish to do so, and those of us that are still around will support you!

Thank you, and we'll see you around!

FAQ:

1. How? Why?

No clue, Havok posted the original work and we just sort of spiraled.

2. This is a lot of works. Do I have to read all of this?

Absolutely not! Do whatever you want, jump around, read whatever looks interesting to you. We're not gonna hold a gun to your head and force you to read close to a quarter of a million words. (Yes, that's true, I've done the math. Again, I don't know how we got here either.) That being said, where there's smoke (floor 5) by Anonymous is one of the oldest works in the collection and one of the OGs; I highly recommend it, not only as a good starting point for the universe but just because it's an excellent work. Other important fics in the collection you might want to check out include the works of Khio and myself, but by no means does that mean you have to read anything you're not interested in. Go wild, read whatever you want!

3. Can I write about -

Yes! As long as you follow the rules below, go wild! Don't worry about canon, write whatever the hell you want to write. If you're still unsure, though, there are a few resources to help you: I've written a Writer's Guide to the Victors' Tower containing useful information about the established universe; you're also welcome to join our Discord server and ask us some questions in person (drop a comment below one of our fics if you'd like a link), or simply leave a comment with your questions on one of the collection's works (the people listed above as canon writers are probably your best bet). However, at the end of the day, all that matters is that you have fun :)

Rules:

If you want to write something within this AU, feel free, new additions are always welcome! However, this AU was created with the intent of respecting the boundaries of the creators involved. Therefore, please be aware that we do not accept fics that feature the following:

  • Shipping between creators
  • NSFW content
  • Graphic violence (so no actual depictions of the Games)
  • Death of any real person

Despite the undertones of a universe centred around the Hunger Games, we do not condone such themes, and have taken careful measures to ensure that our stories do not prove otherwise.

Thank you for understanding!
