According to Fanlore, a character study "refers to a genre of fanworks which main point is to explore a character in depth." Fic is the only medium allowed and minimum word count is 200 words. Fic may be shippy or smutty in nature as long as the central focus is on a character's inner world, thoughts, feelings, or personality.

For nominating Original Work, follow the format: [character description] (OW). For example, "1000 Year Old Vampire (OW)".
