Fred wakes up. Ron’s face is looking back at him.
He groans, and Ron looks back affronted. “Oi,” he says, offence layering his tone. “I’m not that bad. I just wanted to ask if you’d do up my tie.”
“So, this wasn’t just a bad dream?” Fred asks, closing his eyes once more so that he can’t see Ron’s face.
“Dream? Look, I don’t care. Fred, you need to help me with my tie, okay?”
Fred turns on his side and clenches his eyes closed, hoping that Ron will leave if he just stops replying. He’s right — eventually, he can hear Ron swear under his breath and storm out of the room, the door slamming behind him as he mutters something about Ginny.
Fred drifts back to sleep, hoping to wake up from this deranged, horrific nightmare where he has to live through Hermione Granger marrying his brother three times in a row.
Or: Fred is stuck in a time loop.
