“Why’d you volunteer, Tim?” Lucy asks quietly.
It’s the question that’s been plaguing her for the past two days, ever since she saw his name on the list. There’s a lot of things that Tim hates, but she’s pretty sure undercover work might be at the forefront. Yet, he had volunteered to do a long-term op, posing as her husband. She knows he’s trying to pay everything back to her—small doses, he had said. But... This is a lot.
This isn’t just some small dose. This is just about as big as a dose that anything could be.
“Because,” Tim starts heavily, “I’ll always have your back. As long as you’ll let me.”

She’d fallen asleep holding his hand and woken up with him again and it isn’t the morning after the worst day of her life anymore. It feels like what she’s been waiting for. It feels like permission.
OR - Tim and Lucy (really convincingly) fake date, fall for each other, and attend a wedding. Maybe not in that exact order.

Tim 11:20pm: Hey sorry just saw this… You okay? Need me to call?

Lucy has a rough night at work, she reaches out to Tim for some comfort only he can provide. Set somewhere post season 7 before they get a chance to actually talk

Summary
As Lucy is trying to get her life back on track following her abduction and Tim is doing his best to both support her and help her finish her training, the world abruptly comes to an end when a virus starts turning people into the living dead. Due to circumstances, Lucy and Tim are forced to flee to safety to the only place Tim can think of. The T.O and Rookie’s partnership is put to the ultimate test as they are now forced to rely on one another to survive in the new zombie wasteland. Will there partnership fail, or will it prove to be stronger than ever and turn into something more?
