Summary
By an old Republic law, all members of the Jedi High Council are senators in the Galactic Senate, and can thus be voted in as chancellor. A Senator from a less prominent planet has had enough of Chancellor Palpatine's incompetence and calls for a Vote of No-Confidence and the installation of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.
This one action becomes the catalyst that changes the direction of the galaxy.

He’s just a baby story--something the tubies like to pretend is real.”70 shook his head, his face set in stubborn lines. “He might not be. No, listen--” he gave 74 a glare when it looked like his brother wanted to interrupt again. “I’ve heard the stories, and they’re always the same. The tubies all know what he looks like. They all know he’s a jetii, before anyone ever told them what a jetii was. You know how the longnecks keep batches of tubies separate. There’s no way any of us, or any of the older vod, could have told them about him. But it doesn’t matter. All the batches know about Ben.”

Haunted by memories and regret, Ben must forge a new path for himself in the Jedi Order of his youth while navigating the murky waters of time travel. Luke Skywalker has blown up The Death Star, and is now the centrepiece of The Rebellion. With the mysterious Obi-Wan Kenobi accompanying him, he delves headfirst into the inner workings of The Rebellion and those who staff it. From the Rebel Ghost Crew, the Rogue Clones of the Bad Batch, and the mysterious Rogue Crew who The Rebellion owes the victory over Yavin to, tens of hands are involved in this fight.
And, in the shadows of the galaxy, The Empire schemes to bring down The Rebellion and secure its Legacy. Hunters are recruited, information is gathered, and debts are cashed in on. As history and cultures clash, the fate of The Galaxy is soon to be decided…

The Mandalorian concept of synchronicity is a shooting star. The ancestors have thrown something at your head and you would do well to pay attention.
The Jedi view it as the Force's sense of humour. Not necessarily deep, but special to behold.
Obi-Wan connects with the kyber of a long dead Jedi when it literally hits him in the head.
And the Force smiles.

He rounded the corner towards the square right in front of the Temple– it was different than before because there had never been a square in front of the Temple.
Obi-Wan froze in place the moment he looked up. His eyes observed the large statues one by one.
Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto– they were all Councillors during the War.
Obi-Wan stood in front of the statues as tears welled up in his eyes. He hadn’t seen them in a long time and these statues looked exactly like them. From facial features and expression down to the way they were seated– as if they were in a regular Council meeting.
“Look Uncle Ben! It’s–” Obi-Wan leaped to Luke and covered his mouth before he could say anything else.
“Yes, I see, it’s General Kenobi.” He hoped the beings whose attention was drawn towards them would move on quickly. “But try not to shout, Luke, alright?”
His eyes left the boy to observe the statue of himself.

Or in which the Clones take over the Empire and Obi-Wan hears rumours about the whole ordeal which causes him to head back to Coruscant.
