“No,” The vishap prince shakes his head and settles himself more comfortably, letting Neuvillette’s head rest against his chest, “No, of course not. Why would I damn my own King? But if I just find any other human for him, then I’d be damned. Now strip.”

He drops his hands from his face to find Neuvillette staring at him with glowing eyes. His pupils are blown wide, circles instead of narrow slits, and his lips curl in a smug, satisfied smile.
“Please tell me you’re back to normal,” Wriothesley says.
After Neuvillette absorbs all the energy of an Arkhe reactor's meltdown, his instincts take control.
