Mini Mercelot Week is a fest to create Mercelot works! We focus on Merlin/Lancelot works, but gen works are also entirely acceptable. Mini Mercelot Week will run from June 7th-13th. The collection will close on June 14th.
Prompts to be announced April 15th!

How do I sign up?
No sign up required! Just create a work for Mercelot Week or Mini Mercelot week based on one of our prompts and post it wherever you like! Tag it with #MercelotWeek2021 or MiniMercelotWeek on Tumblr or add it to our AO3 collection.

Where are the prompts?
Mercelot Week - Main Event: We’re taking submissions for them here Until June 30th.

What’s the deadline?
The fill submission form will close June 14th to accommodate for time zone variations. After that you can still post works, they just won’t be added to our main Work Collection Post.

When can I start posting?
As soon Mercelot Week starts in your time zone (Midnight June 7th), you can start posting. Make sure you fill out the submit Mercelot Week Fill form (link to come) for each individual work you create so we can collect them in

Can this be part of my Merlin Bingo?
Mini Mercelot Week Fills CAN be a part of your Merlin Bingo Card. Go nuts!

How long does my work have to be? Good question!
Fic: 100 Words minimum.
Meta: 100 words minimum.
Fanvid: 15 seconds minimum
Gif set: 2 gif minimum
Art: 1 piece minimum
Moodboard: 6 pics minimum
podfic: 2 minutes minimum (These are a favorite of Mod RainbowVamp!)
Playlists: 5 songs minimum with cover art.
Edit: One image minimum

Can my work be explicit?
Sure! Just make sure you tag for it in your original work, and that you mark it as explicit in the form. If it’s art, Tumblr doesn’t allow explicit art content, so please post it to another image hosting sight and make it an AO3 work instead. (Instructions)

Will I get a prize?
Mod RainbowVamp is learning to use photoshop specifically to make badges to reward you for your accomplishments!

Can my fic have multiple chapters?
Yup! It can all go for one prompt, or you can incorporate one per chapter, or you can just add one chapter that includes a prompt from the event. So long as it follows a prompt and is posted within the Mercelot week, it counts! :)

What if there’s a side pairing that’s not Mercelot?
No problem! So long as Mercelot is the main pairing we don’t mind side pairings (either outside mercelot or even polyamorous pairs with one or both Merlin and Lancelot)

What if Mercelot isn’t endgame?
We need Mercelot to be the Main Pairing for anything submitted for this weeklong fest. It’s okay if it’s one sided, or unrequited, or even requited but everyone is too stupid to get together, but Mercelot must be the implied endgame or the previously established endgame.

Below are the basic minimum requirements for participation in Mercelot Week.

All works must feature Lancelot/Merlin as the dominant characters. This can be Gen or slash, established or get together, pining for a lost loved one, it literally doesn’t matter, so long as the focus is that wonderful relationship between Lancelot and Merlin.

Works submitted for Mercelot Week must be based on one of the prompts provided (that makes it a challenge!). (We’re taking submissions for prompts here!)

Your contributions can be anything! Art, stories, meta, fanvids, podfics, gif sets, moodboards, playlists, and any other fan works you can think of! If you have questions feels free to submit them in an ask. Anon asks are off because we answer all asks privately!

Once the prompts go live, please WAIT to post your work until Mercelot Week begins. If you post before we will give priority to reblogging posts that were posted during the fest’s run time. Prompts will be live for three months before posting starts, so feel free to create some long works… (😉)

Have fun! Mercelot Week is not meant to be a reason to overtax yourself! We want to see your awesome works, but we don’t want to see you hurt yourself making them. If posting for every day isn’t feasible for you, then no worries. Just one Mercelot week creation means that the Mercelot fandom wins! Or just interact with some of the great new content we’ll have. No worries, no judgements, no obligations. 💗
