Summary
The long journey back to Camelot had run not only their steeds, but their riders ragged with exhaustion...the Knights were all snarky, nerves and bottoms rubbed raw from the long days of riding. They griped at one another much more than usual, and their tempers seemed on a much shorter leash. Arthur, too, had proven to be having difficulty with the journey, made evident by the incessant pestering he had been forcing unto his manservant.
The past hour or so, though, seemed to have been particularly problematic, as Arthur had found himself stumbling upon an irritant of Merlin's. It wasn’t often he had a leg up in that department- the big-eared git seemed to always hold the upper hand, what, with his made-up names, and well-aimed commentary.

It’s true that Arthur sometimes doesn’t treat Merlin very well, but somewhere along the way, Merlin just learned to duck or dodge the blows, and stopped noticing it. But this time, Arthur has crossed a line. And suddenly, Merlin starts to doubt everything.
