And then I was just…uncomfortable.” His eyes are back on Armand, and he cannot miss the heat simmering behind them. “And then I couldn’t think straight, then I sent the staff home ‘cause I didn’t know what I’d do, but the being alone in the house made it worse and then-” Louis knees finally buckle under him, Armand surging forward to catch him up against his chest. Louis is a feverish weight in his arms. Heat seeping through thin layers of clothes —his sweat soaked hair coiling tighter at the edges— although he’s shivering like he'd been out in the cold.
Armand lowers them both to sit on the bed, “I don't know what’s happening, I hoped it would go away-” Louis breaks off with a pathetic noise, inhaling deeply where he’s nuzzling into Armand's chest.
Or; Louis breaks the year long silence between him and Armand to help cure the effects of a targeted spell

“Your walk was long, Maître. Your feet must ache,” Armand says, the wisp of a question at the end of the sentence, upturned intonation, his voice seeking out Louis’s eyes even when his eyes won’t. Like smoke towards an open window, like he can’t help but let it go. “Let me be of service.”
“Go ahead, Arun,” Louis tells him. It can be like that, if Armand wants it to be.

Did his power lie in the blood or in his body, and what was his body now if not simply a vessel for blood? Could he gift Louis everything that he was through this act? Could he become Louis? Could Louis become him? And would Armand be able to feel him running through his veins? Louis had once said that he could feel Lestat’s blood giggling inside him the night the Dark Gift was granted to him. He wondered what his own blood might do. Maybe it would kill them both. There was beauty in that too.
