Summary
He thinks about Bad a lot.
There isn’t much to do inside such a small cage but think, so Skeppy does what he can: tucks himself away in a corner, savors the bits of light that shine through the bars, and tries to remember.
Bad, hands gentle as he tends to his wounds. Bad, voice low and warm as he rambles at 3 am. Bad, smile bright and euphoric when he spars against Skeppy and wins. Bad, Bad, Bad.
Skeppy lolls his head back, lets it rest against cold blackstone. He hasn’t slept for days, his stomach aches from hunger, and the tender part of his heart has been cut out and discarded.
You’re getting hopeful, Dream had told him softly, almost sadly. I can see it in your eyes. It’s pathetic. Hope is useless down here.
He misses Bad so much.

The plan was simple.
Step One: Infiltrate the palace by getting simple jobs and getting a good feel of the place. (✔️)
Step Two: Kidnap Prince Skeppy, Heir to the Crystal Kingdom, and take him back to the safe house. (✔️)
Step Three: Negotiate for his release with the King. (In Progress)
Step Four: Collect the profit and get out. (Coming Soon)
It was going so well. Until the Prince actually acts like he’s enjoying being a hostage, is a general menace, and negotiations haven’t even started yet.
The Badlands have a lot on their plate.
(Or, in which the Badlands are a Robin Hood-like group who kidnapped Prince Skeppy in order to hurt his tyrant father, and nothing goes the way they planned, but maybe for the best.)

They set him on the stone altar. It’s cold. It fucking sucks. If he has to die here, they could at least make it comfortable.
But again, the blood would probably soak up whatever pillows or fabric they put there.
And also, they sent him here to die, so they clearly don’t fucking care.
And they just… leave. Just like that. Without a goodbye, without an apology, without a regret.
That’s fine, Skeppy has plenty.OR: Skeppy's village sacrifices him to the Blood God. It is not the Blood God who comes to get him, though.
