Summary
Loki once described love as being like a dagger, though he didn't explain it well then.
Like a dagger, love was beautiful. Mesmerizing to see it at work. It could be forged into different forms to serve different purposes. It could be easily concealed from sight. It could give someone the courage to do something that they would be too scared to attempt without it. And it might give them the power to succeed.
If you give it to someone, you have to hope that they won't turn that weapon against you and carve out your heart. Sharing it could make you vulnerable if you chose wrong.
And most importantly, Loki had always preferred to wield two daggers.

Life is not always willing to wait for better circumstances.” Letting one hand drift up to his shoulder, Frigga said, “Energy is energy, regardless of the form it takes. In the right circumstances, your magic can be briefly rekindled by powerful emotions fueling the strength that only the truly desperate can reach. It won’t be easy and it won’t endure long, but it can be done if your need is great.”
“Powerful emotions?” asked Loki.
“Overwhelming rage and hatred. Fear for your life or for those around you.” Leaning forward, Mother pressed a small kiss to his forehead. “Love. All of them overwhelming forces capable of the impossible, my child. Never underestimate any of them. Especially the last.”
Centuries later and outside of time, his mother's words become far too relevant. Because Loki is truly desperate and those powerful emotions are certainly present in ample supply. There are some people that he refuses to lose, even if they have the worst timing on making certain feelings known.

Summary
This is a me-trying-to-process-the-last-episode-of-Loki fic.
This fic starts with a prologue of Sylvie when she renames herself and discovers she is the Goddess of Mischief.
Sylvie and Mobius cope with the aftermath of the events of S2, and try to move on; but it's not as easy as it sounds. Sylvie is wracked with guilt and goes to Mobius for comfort. The bond that triggered the Nexus event on Lamentis-1 turns out to be the start of a stronger, more potent metaphysical link that lets Sylvie recall her memories of the timeslipping. Eventually she gains the courage to meet Loki at the End of Time, and what she finds isn't just him in a way she didn't anticipate, but also some clarity about her own godhood and glorious purpose. Mobius meanwhile wonders about the things in common he has with Loki, and what Loki has meant to him all this time. They bond together about Loki and find hope at the end of it.

Summary
Despite having many chances, Loki didn't flee. He did not leave his brother or his people to perish while he escaped. He knew that when Thanos found him, his life was forfeit. His fate was sealed the moment that he failed to retrieve the Tesseract years ago. No tricks, no illusion, no lies, and no last-minute escapes. He couldn't save himself this final time.
Thor failed in so many ways. He failed to protect his people. He failed to save Heimdall. He failed to stop Thanos from murdering his brother. And then he failed to kill Thanos and half the universe was lost as a result.
When they failed to stop Thanos and so many lives were lost in an instant, Tony was powerless. He could only watch as the teenager who should've never been halfway across the galaxy dissolve in his arms. There was nothing that he could do. But when he and Nebula, in their attempt to limp their way back to Earth, find the site of a destroyed vessel floating in the middle of space with the bodies of the Aesir drifting in the vacuum, he remembers enough from Bruce to realize what they'd found. And he sees one face he recognizes and comes to a grim decision.
Sometimes you can't save everyone. But you can sometimes save someone. -
