Dottore sounded amused as he told Aether, “Good news. It’s not lethal.”
Who knows whether he said it with the intention of reassuring Aether but it only made the Traveler warier of the unknown sample.
“Well,” Dottore started, “We have plenty of time together, so let’s try to be productive today. My dear specimen.”
It didn’t take graduating from the Akademiya to know Il Dottore was completely serious. Aether felt the last of his courage slip away from the look on his face.
