Summary
He hesitated for a few moments before slowly placing his hand on his hair. Tanjiro seemed to melt at this movement. Then Giyuu tenderly stroked his head, running his fingers through the boy's red curls.
“Hurt... Giyuu... hot... too hot... Mama...”
The thing in Giyuu that roared with worry fell silent for a moment, as did his brain. Then something snapped, like a rope that's been stretched too far and snaps.
OR: Giyuu decides that Tanjiro and Nezuko are his children and goes feral when one of them is injured.

Summary
The last thing Giyū saw was the horrible creature known as Muzan crawling away to another part of their quickly crumbling world, taking the hashira who could still fight with him, and the bodies of those who no longer couldn't, behind him. Giyū was the latter, trying to stand up even through the sea of blood at his feet. He was dying.
Why was this happening? Wasn't the slayer mark supposed to boost his survival?
Turns out, it did. Maybe a little too well.
Fate had once again chosen the wrong person to save, Giyū thought, back in his thirteen year old body, staring at his dead childhood friend right in the face. Tanjiro would have been so much better at time travel.

Summary
Giyu Tomioka has lost many people. It's a fact he hold deeply inside of himself, close to his heart, unable to tell another person of his grieving.
But a lot of things can change after people change, and Giyu might have changed the most out of all of them.

Giyuu lay amidst a blanket of pure white snow, the dark branches above him shimmering with glittering flecks of frost. Above the treetops was an ethereal moon, its soft pale beams shining down like a benediction from above.

Or Giyuu transforms into a demon, yet his behavior remains unchanged. There are moments of childish outbursts that he can't control, but otherwise everything seems normal. Until it isn't; a sinister shift occurs in the air, and it becomes clear that the darkness within has almost taken over.
