964 years ago.
Over the past year and a half Scott and Avid had spent pretty much all of their waking hours together, well all of Avid's waking hours at least. Their relationship had started off rocky, full of many accusations and scowls, but that hatred eventually turned into obsession and then one night they shared a kiss in the light of the blood moon, and it was the first time the pair ever felt complete.
And now here they sat snuggled, a human and a vampire, together on a couch a year and a half later, comforted by the other's presence. But the air was heavy with unspoken words. Words both of them wanted to say but at this moment it just felt too hard, too much. So they just sat there in silence staring at the fire watching it crackle.
“I wanna be with you forever" Avid said, breaking the silence and turning his head to look up at Scott making eye contact and holding it not wanting to break it, wanting Scott to understand what he means. “Avid you're gonna be more specific than that, sweetie. Are you asking me to turn you or marry you?” Scott said sweetly, lifting a hand to cradle Avid's cheek. “Or both.” Scott added with a wink, leaning towards Avid to kiss him with a smile.
Avid’s face became a violent red, and for a few moments he was at a loss for words, something very usual for Avid, he seemed to always have something to say or something to laugh at. “You want to marry me?!” Avid said, finally breaking his silence with a shout and a smile. “Is this you asking to marry me?! Cause i was gonna ask if you could turn me. But if you also wanna get married I would love that so much!” For some reason marriage felt so much more intimate, and nerve wracking to Avid. Yes being a vampire entailed being together for eternity, but marriage made it feel like it was being set in stone, that everyone would know, they were legally each others.
“Yes I suppose I am asking you to marry me, and I would have asked sooner if I knew you would react this adorably.” Avid just grinned and leaned up to kiss Scott, pouring all his happiness into the action almost desperate to get even closer to Scott.
