Chapter Text
“I’ve told you this plenty of times!” Twilight groaned, “This is incorrect! Everything about it!”
The corner of Sunset’s lips let out a tiny smirk, “Does it look like I'm bothered by it?” Sunset clearly had no intentions of ‘fixing,’ up her work, or even finishing it.
Twilight sighed, leaning back in her chair, “You should be bothered,” she crossed her arms on her chest, “Plus-,”
“Ah, no more,” Sunset raised her eyebrow as she wrote down the answer to the next question, then turned the paper to the back.
“- I was going to say that I don't think that's correct,” Twilight turned Sunset’s paper back around and pointed to the 3rd equation, “It's supposed to be A, not B.”
“It is so B, how is it A!”
“Read the question again.”
“Oh,” Sunset scribbled out her answer, then circled the right one. Twilight was right, unfortunately, for the 3rd time.
Twilight 3
Sunset 0
Sunset and Twilight always had a nice dynamic between the two, from Twilight transferring early last year, to now. Sunset and her always got on the best, maybe it's because they shared the same fears? Or because they had somewhat the same interest?
Or maybe there was something else.

The bell had gone off for lunch a while ago, it was halftime currently and the pair were currently sitting on a table at the very back of the cafeteria. The tables in the cafeteria were always busy, so it was lucky that they even found one today, let alone just them sitting there.
Sunset tapped her fingers on the table, looking at Twilight’s book then to her,
“Twi?”
“Mhm?” She mumbled, writing down something in her notes while taking a bite of her sandwich.
“Are you going to talk, orrr be more invested in whatever you’re studying?”
Twilight looked like a deer in the headlights, the tips of her ears went red. She was praying Sunset didn’t see, “Sorry, sorry.” She shut her book and slid it off the table and into her lap.
“Any plans anyways for today after school?” Sunset had asked her this a million times to start a conversation, and the answer was either no, or something related to science and her lab.
Twilight shook her head and glanced at Sunset's lunch, then back to her.
Sunset rolled her eyes as she pushed her lunchbox forward, letting Twi take anything out of it as she wanted, “Take some,”
“Just because I'm eyeing your lunch doesn’t mean you have to say yes.”
Sunset shrugged, “Well I mean, you always take it don't you?”
“Well yes but it doesn’t mean you need to always give it to me.”
“We’re friends, remember, you're allowed to eat my lunch.”
Friends, right. Nothing more.
They sat in silence for the last few minutes before the bell eventually went off and they packed up,
“Ill see you later?” Sunset asked Twi, hoping for a yes.
“Sure,” she straightened her glasses and gripped her bag strap as she placed it over her shoulders.
“Right, I’ll see you soon!” Sunset yelled out before walking off in the opposite distance to Twilight.
Twilight's next class was English, not really one she was ecstatic for… But it indeed was better than PE.
She opened the glass door, ducking her head as soon as students looked at her, or more so who was coming into the classroom and went to her regular seat in the far left.
She opened her bag as silent as she could and placed her books in front of her, her eyes waiting at the door for the teacher to come in.
5 minutes past, 10 minutes past, and it was slowly coming to the 15 minute mark.
Twilight, as bored as she could get, looked around the classroom then got her phone out.
‘Hi,’ Twilight, as much as she wanted to talk to Sunset, knew that Sunset wouldn’t get back to her instantly.
Or maybe she would.
…
…..
…….
After 2ish minutes, Sunset replied. Ironically Twilight had forgotten that Sunset always manages to find a way on her phone.
‘Heya, why u texting me in class?’
‘No teacher :/’
‘Ah, have u got ms cherilee?’
‘Yep… everyones basically on their phone rn.’
‘Oh shit, so like freetime?’
‘No, just no teacher.’
‘So freetime?’
Twilight rolled her eyes, then smiled at her phone.
‘Haha very funny, im going to go now,’
‘Ah, leaving so soon? Cya, meet me afterschool,’
Twilight was about to say something about ‘no more motorbike rides,’ but then her teacher just had to show up.
“I’m so sorry, students!” Ms Cherilee walked to her desk and frantically opened up her laptop, “I was in a meeting and they wouldn’t let me go!”
Twilight looked down at her book, unimpressed.

As the bell rang once more, students left the facility as quickly as Twilight could blink. Twilight walked out her classroom door a little bit later than everyone else just so she could pack up neatly and not bend any of her books accidentally in her bag.
As she started to walk out, she stopped at the exit and leaned on a wall to wait for Sunset.
As said, Sunset tapped Twilight's shoulder and scares Twilight by accident.
Twilight jumped as she felt the contact on her shoulder, “Jesus, warning next time?”
Sunset let out a small chuckle, “You’re cute when you get all jumpy, come on. I’ll take you home.”
Twilight blushed profusely and looked down to the ground as she followed Sunset to her motorbike.
After 5 minutes of walking to the senior parking, Sunset passed Twilight her helmet and patted the seat behind her.
“Aren’t you going to wear a helmet?” Twilight asked with the helmet in her hands. There was obviously no ‘second,’ helmet, but Twilight thought it’d be better to ask then keep quiet about it.
“Well there's only one helmet, yes?” Sunset said as she started the motor, signalling Twilight to get on.
“Well yeah, but what if we crash and I somehow survive whilst you rot away in a hospital bed?”
Sunset laughed a little, “I’ve done this a million times before, we wont crash, and one day without my helmet won't kill me. Now hurry up and hop on!”
Twilight sighed and got on awkwardly, trying to find where to put her hands, until they eventually settled around Sunset's waist. Twilight got butterflies in her stomach even thinking about any contact with Sunset, now it felt like her head was going to explode.
“You know your like, epic fears of motorbikes?” Sunset asked Twilight as she started the vehicle once again.
“Sunset,”
“Hmm?”
“Sunset Shimmer.”
And then, Sunset being Sunset, started going a little too fast for Twilight's liking. She turned on corners too quickly and it made Twilight hold onto her for dear life.
“Sunset Shimmer I will end your bloodline!” Twilight cried out as she squeaked again when Sunset turned another corner.
Twilight was maybe a little grateful that she had the helmet on..
As Sunset started to slow down when they got to Twilights street, she decided to strike up a conversation.
“So how was last period?”
“Huh?” Twilight yelled out, she couldn't hear much over the wind, or the motor.
“Last period?” Sunset said a little louder, “How was it?”
“Oh, it was fine, teacher came right after I texted you, what about you?”
“Played on my phone, lifes great when your naturally smart.’
“You know you dont have to show off,” Twilight laughed, “Not like your cockiness is going to get you anywhere in life,”
Sunset dramatically scoffed like she was personally offended, “How dare you!”
And then there goes the speed limit.
Twilight sighed as she tugged onto Sunset's waist for dear life yet again, shutting her eyes so she couldn’t see anything.
Eventually they stopped at Twilight's house, Sunset put the bike to a halt as she stood it up on its stand, accommodating Twilight off the bike safely and taking the helmet off for her too. Her hand lasting way to long near Twilights face.
“I’ll see you soon Sparkly?”
Twilight nodded, a little sad that she had to see Sunset go.
“Yeah,” she breathed, “I’ll see you soon.”
Sunset hopped on her motorbike once more and drove off, Twilight watched her as far as she could then headed her way inside.
Another day with unresolved feelings.
Another day to keep her emotions inside.
All she wanted was love, all she wanted really, was Sunset Shimmer.
