Chapter 1: Crown jewel

Chapter Text

Chart city, the crown jewel of Robloxia. everyone knows of it, it is the home of the most known experiences. Even the up coming experiences have a chance to be built in the city. Now with it being such a big city there should always be moderation. So that's where the Roblox HQ comes in, where all the administrations and Moderators work in. most people feel safer with the tower standing tall, though there are still some that say some of the staff rather be slaking off than work. Even though everyone was always excited to be there, to work there, and to simply experience it all, the good and the bad.

sadly, soon enough the bad started to out weigh the good. it seemed to just start happening out of no where really. some bad apples, scamming and others exploiting. But then it started to get worse, when it seemed the admis weren't doing all they can to stop these people. What was worse is that people started to go missing, and small groups started to protest because "Roblox HQ just weren't doing their job good enough." or this one big protest that landed on the news, because of a one death of a small moderator.

And once when Rumors started about how Roblox HQ is starting to have problems in the building, the Robloxia News had reported something gut retching. more than two admins had gone missing, no traces left behind. all three of them being pretty important and powerful people. which honestly explains a bit why there's more rule brakers running around, but since the news is out means there's a chance for people to keep getting away with stuff.

which is way you hate working at the moment, because you have nothing to protect you. working at a 24/7 store sucks pretty bad when people think they can walk all over you. especially now, when people can throw threats and possibly get away with it before the police can even get a glance at them.

thankfully today was slow, guess others are scared to come outside too. you didn't really have to restock shelves, or sweep and mop a sticky part of the store, and you didn't have to add another Wanted or Missing poster to the board. all was quiet until the bell at the door chimed and in walk two men in black. you didn't really care but what you noticed is that one of them stayed lingering at the door while the other walked through the isles.

yeah... defiantly not good, or maybe you're just paranoid from what's been happing around you. which ever it is, just stay cool and just do your job. so you did, you welcomed them in and stayed behind the counter until they are ready to buy something.

The one that wandered the isles came up and placed a bag or two down and a small drink, the other still waiting at the door. You scanned the items and spoke out the price. simple, like always.

turns out not.

"how about.." a short pause from the guy and a quick snag of his arm from grabbing something in his back pocket. " we get those for free?" he spoke so casually you almost missed what he pulled out.

a small pistol, something you can easily hide, yet it was aimed straight at you. At that moment you could feel her heart beat stop for a second and your breath hitch. you didn't hesitate to just simply nod and push the bag to him. keeping you hands visible and your movements stiff. turns out some small snacks don't cut it, because the next thing he orders from you is to give him the money in the register.

no problem right? except that's wrong because the registers are made to be smart and only allow money be taken a certain amount that's needed.

"I can try but-" your instantly cut off

"I don't want to hear excuse... give me the money. *Now*." He demands as he holds the gun up more to your head. making you raise your hands higher and shrink yourself.

after a short moment you didn't bother to explain what would happen as you just went them to leave. Your hands working faster than your brain as you started to press buttons to see if the machine would just let you take the money. it worked for a short moment until it didn't, you missed pressed a bottom and the machine didn't register it, so when you tried to pull money from it again, the bills got stuck and an alarm went off.

your breath hitched and you looked at the man only to see that he was confused and obviously angered at the alarm. "God dam it! Why did you set of the fucking alarm! do you want to get shot or something?!" He yelled out as he pushed against the counter as if he might jump over it to get to you.

"No, wait, I didn't mean to-!" you were silenced once again but not by a voice, but by being hit with the butt of the of the gun right on the side of your head.

"shut the fuck up! you did this to yourself. all your dam fault, you-" he cursed at you as he kept his gun aimed firm at you his finger just aching to squeeze the trigger.

"oh for fuck sake if your going to shoot them just do it! we don't have time for your bullshit! the cops are coming!" the other man had yelled from the door, looking both ways to keep an eye out.

your heart dropped at hearing them talk about taking your own life, you felt your throat start to clog up as you wanted to protest against the idea, but it was too late. he looked at you with rage and defiance as he didn't even hesitate to pull the trigger. a loud bang rang out making you close your eyes, bracing for impact.

you gasped and fell to the ground with a jolt when you felt the bullet pierce into your chest. you gasped out as you started to feel like your air was leaving you, pressing a hand to your chest you looked up, only to see that he had grabbed the bags and left running out with the other.

your Vision was growing blurry from tears and the dizziness of loss of breath. it hurt so much, so god dam much. more than any pain you had in your life, all because you knew you weren't making it. your uniform was getting soaked with blood and you weren't able to hold onto the thread anymore. so you let go. perhaps it would be better than to live in a city that's going down hill.
