Troy has been in locker rooms his whole life, he knows better than to look over someone's shoulder at their phone but for whatever reason he couldn’t help doing exactly that when he heard Rozanov laughing. On Ilya's screen, he was shocked to see Rozanov sending flirty texts to someone. He didn’t get a good look at the contact name but he's pretty confident it did not say “Shane Hollander”, Ilya's husband and their friend.

Harris finished pasting the approved caption into Ilya’s instagram, adding #ad #adidaspartner to the end of the post. Ilya had a brand deal that had to be posted today and Harris found it was just easier to take the guys phones and get everything ready that way.
Just before closing the app, Ilya’s phone buzzed and a text popped up at the top of the screen.

Shit, Harris should not have looked at that, that text definitely was not from Shane. Why would Ilya be receiving flirty texts from a woman who was not his husband?

Jamie overheard Troy and Wyatt speaking in hushed whispers during practice, so he skated over to them to see what was going on.
“I think Rozanov might be cheating on Shane. Saw him texting some random girl the other day,” he heard Wyatt say.
“Yeah I did too, so did Harris, we’re worried about him, doesn’t seem like Roz to cheat.” He had also seen a text pop up on Ilya's phone, one that looked very flirty and definitely was not from Shane.
“Maybe one of us should talk to Shane?” Wyatt suggested.
Jamie volunteered, being cheated on was horrible and he felt Shane deserved to know.

Shane was one of the last people left in the locker room, just him and Jamie left after practice
“Hollander - uh, Shane, can I speak with you for a sec?” Jamie asked, pulling Shane away. This sounded serious. Based on the team's track record, he almost thought Jamie might come out to him.
“Yeah, what's up man?” If Jamie was about to come out Shane was ready to be supportive and everything he wished he’d had years ago.
“This is kinda tough,” Jamie said, playing with his necklace. Shane knew exactly how he felt. “You and Rozanov have been married for ages now.” Jamie paused, seeming nervous, so Shane took over.
“Hey man, you can tell me.”
“It’s just, me and some of the guys have noticed Rozanov has been, um, texting some girl named Jane. The others have seen him sending sexy messages to her as well. I didn’t even mean to look.” Jamie looked away, fiddling with his fingers nervously. “His phone was just sitting there and it buzzed, and fuck, I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but being cheated on sucks and I just thought you should know.”
Shane had to stop himself from bursting out laughing. They’d been married for years now and neither he nor Ilya ever bothered to change the other's contact in their phones from ‘Jane’ and ‘Lily’, he knew for a fact that the message Jamie just described was sent by him this morning.
“Thanks, for telling me, I'll talk to Ilya.”
Jamie patted him on the shoulder before walking away, Shane knew with one hundred percent certainty that Ilya was not, and never would cheat on him.
Later that evening when they were home and making dinner together (Ilya making dinner while Shane sits on the stool and occasionally taste tests the food) Ilya brought up the interaction from earlier.
“By the way, what did Jamie want earlier? I saw him whisper something in your ear and drag you away? Did he finally tell you he is gay? Because I have suspected this for a while.”
“No uh, he actually told me that you are cheating on me.”
Ilya's face suddenly got very serious. “Well Jamie is a fucking liar and I never even liked him anyway.”
Shane got up off his stool and joined Ilya at the stove, hugging him from behind and kissing his neck.
“Well he seemed pretty convinced, he saw flirty texts on your phone from a woman named Jane.”
Ilya turned to face Shane, the serious look on his face from a few moments ago has been replaced by a huge grin.
“Do you think we should change the contact names?” Shane asked.
“No way, I love you Jane.”
