"Gong Xi Fā Cái!" Koumyou said, sloshing wine into Ukoku's cup.
"Likewise," Ukoku said. "This is one holiday you can't ruin with your bizarre interpretations of cultural norms you don't understand."
Koumyou's eyes gleamed, and Ukoku shrank back in fear. He looked down to see that his robes were now scarlet and gold, and the Muten Sutra's words were embellished in sequins.
"I'm going to kill you," he moaned as he was swept into a huge crowd of suddenly-materialised lion dancers. One lion bit his head for good luck.
It was possibly the most horrifically festive night of his life.
