Everything was going so well, the recital was just that night, and everyone was very excited to watch SUNNY and MARI play their duet. When everyone got home, MARI was found in the backyard, hanging from the tree. AUBREY screamed and threw up, KEL stood in shock, unable to process the situation. SUNNY and BASIL were nowhere to be seen. And HERO? He blew up. He iust…exploded.
“Ohh crap!” MARI suddenly says, pushing her hair out of her face, untying the noose she was hanging from, and running to HERO. She grunted and mumbled about neck pains all the way there.
“HERO! Are you okay!?” MARI cries out in horror. AUBREY and KEL stand there, shocked.
“MARI..? You're alive…?” AUBREY asks, choking back tears. MARI looks up at her, smiling softly.
“I came back to life when HERO blew up. Where's SUNNY and BASIL? All I remember was falling down the stairs…but that's not important! HERO! Please wake up…” MARI continues to cry HERO'S name into the dark stain of ash in the grass where HERO once stood.
HERO never came back after that. Poor guy.
