Chapter Text
Thursday.
Hinata was caught between a rock and a hard place.
She gripped her phone tightly as she looked up at the sky. It was about to rain again; dark and threatening clouds were approaching.
“Just for the weekend, I promise!” Kurenai, her uni professor, said into the phone.
Hinata had agreed to go to a bar downtown with her friends Ino and Sakura, to unwind after their recent exams had left them exhausted.
She was alone on the terrace, and it was cold. Only a madman would have willingly left the warmth inside.
“I know this might seem exaggerated, but I don’t dare leave my kitten home alone.”
Hinata wasn’t very confident about this. What Kurenai was asking of her required a lot of responsibility. It’s not as if she wasn’t a responsible adult, but... taking care of a cat? A beloved pet...?
“You’re the only one I’ve thought of,” Kurenai admitted, seeing that Hinata was taking her time to reply. “I don’t trust anyone else to do this, to be honest.”
You could take it to a cat boarding or ask your ex to look after it, Hinata thought, but she bit her tongue. It was well known that Kurenai’s marriage to Asuma hadn’t ended well, and probably the last thing she wanted was to have to ask favours of her former in-laws.
It seemed there was no one else available. It had to be Hinata.
“If you hesitate because of your father, I’ll talk to him myself,” Kurenai said. “I’m sure he’ll agree if I explain him my reasons.”
Hinata forced a smile. He wouldn’t care. Her father barely noticed her existence, and besides, he didn’t like pets. If Kurenai told him that she was going to so much trouble for a cat, he would end up thinking it was ridiculous.
However, Hinata was very different from her father and understood her professor in a way. If Hinata was hesitating so much, it was because this was important. She would have to ensure the pet’s safety, feed it, and keep it clean, and she didn’t feel confident enough to do it.
But Kurenai sounded desperate.
“I know! I’ll pay you double, okay?”
Hinata gasped. “N-no! It’s not that!”
A raindrop landed on Hinata’s nose, causing her to look up. It was starting to drizzle.
“It’s just that... I’m desperate!” Kurenai said.
Hinata closed her eyes.
“I’ll be travelling with Mirai, and that alone would be too much work,” Kurenai explained. “Now, imagine also taking our cat...”
The rain began to fall heavily; it certainly wouldn’t be the gentle drizzle she was hoping for.
The door leading to the terrace opened, and Sakura appeared. “Hinata, is everything alright?”
Hinata turned and gestured.
Her friend understood and winked before closing the door again.
Hinata clutched her phone tightly and said, “Okay, I’ll do it.”
Kurenai breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh, Hinata, you have no idea how grateful I am for this!”
Hinata smiled in response. She wanted to be of help to someone who had always been there for her. It was the least she could do.
She just hoped this wasn’t a terrible mistake.
* * *
Friday.
The next day, Sakura and Ino helped Hinata pack a suitcase with everything a girl would need for a weekend of caring for a cat. Together they went shopping, and when everything was ready, they drove her to Kurenai’s house, not far from where Hinata’s own family lived.
It was an upscale neighbourhood, with large houses and spacious green gardens.
Sakura parked in front of Kurenai’s house, and they stared in awe.
The divorce from Asuma had certainly been beneficial for their professor. This house was luxurious and spacious, and it had a large garden where Mirai could play when she grew up.
Sakura whistled. “Lovely house, isn’t it? And why doesn’t Kurenai-sensei just leave her cat on its own? With enough food, I suppose it would be fine.”
Ino smiled from the passenger seat. “Willow can be quite mischievous sometimes, that’s why.”
Hinata added, “According to what Kurenai-sensei told me, it’s a family matter and that’s why it’s so important.”
“Hmm,” Sakura replied. “Why didn’t she just ask her ex to look after the cat? Asuma would have done a great job taking care of his pet.”
“Well, maybe he’s allergic to Willow’s hair or something,” Ino said, as if it were just the two of them chatting. “Besides, Kurenai has forbidden him from coming near the house, even to take care of the cat. Which is kind of ridiculous, if you ask me.” Hinata couldn’t forget that Ino was not only Asuma’s student, but she also worked for his family, so she was obviously biased.
Hinata shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess it’s still too soon for them to talk about their differences.”
Her friends turned to look at her with half-smiles in their eyes.
“Luckily for everyone, we have you, Hinata,” said Ino.
She widened her eyes, for she knew nothing good could come of her friends looking at her like that.
“There’s something I need to ask you,” Ino added, turning her gaze back to Kurenai’s house. “The news of their divorce was too sudden and shocking for everyone. When the bomb exploded, he was forced to leave their home without being able to take much with him.”
It had been almost a year since then, Hinata recalled. Kurenai and her husband had announced to everyone they knew that they were separating, alleging irreconcilable differences, and that they would raise their daughter together. But the cat... that wasn’t discussed in court, and it simply stayed where it had always lived.
“I’m afraid you’ll have to be more direct with Hinata,” Sakura advised, seeing the shy girl wringing her hands in the back seat.
Ino sighed and put a hand to her face. “Okay, here it goes: Hinata, I need you to find Asuma’s suitcase and give it to me. He might even come and ask for it himself.”
Hinata paled. “What?! Th-that’s not going to be possible!”
“I know what I’m asking is crazy, but—”
“Kurenai-sensei trusts me enough to leave me in charge of her pet, in her house! H-how could I do something like that?!”
Ino burst out laughing. “Hinata, for goodness’ sake, relax. He just wants to get his suitcase back, that’s all. What’s more, he assumes Kurenai must have put all her belongings in the attic, or worse, maybe thrown them in the trash. But we’ll only know for sure if you help us—him! It’ll be easy!”
Sure, but it was much easier said than done.
“You’re acting like you have to fuck him!”
“I-Ino!” Hinata cried.
And Sakura just laughed.
For Ino, saying things like that was easy; her family had worked alongside Asuma’s for generations. Obviously, she could take one side without hesitation.
But Hinata wasn’t like that. From the beginning, she had tried to stay out of it and not take sides. Even her father had warned her not to get involved in such ridiculous situations, not even to show support for her professor.
She sighed.
“Fine,” Hinata finally conceded. “What should I do?”
Ino looked at her with a wide grin. “Nothing difficult. Asuma said he needed his briefcase, and that it would be easy to find, since it’s the only he owns. So, you’ll surely have no trouble finding it. If you decide to help us, I’ll text you the password to open it.”
Hinata put her hands to her eyes. How had she gotten herself into this mess?
“Let me know once you find it, okay?” Ino asked. “I’ll let him know, and we’ll figure out how to get it back, whether you give it to me or he comes to pick it up himself.”
Hinata gasped. “Oh, no—I don’t know if Kurenai-sensei has security cameras or any way of knowing what’s going on in the house!”
Ino shook her head. “Asuma already anticipated all of that. He said that when he lived in that house there was only one camera, and it looked directly into the garage. So, as long as you stay away from that area, there won’t be a problem.”
You really had planned everything in advance, huh? Hinata thought.
Damn it, why couldn’t he simply resolve his differences with his child’s mother?
“Here she comes!” Sakura announced as the front door opened.
Kurenai greeted them as soon as she saw them, and the three girls waved back from the car.
She was dressed head to toe in flannel, perfectly prepared for a long plane trip. Her hair was loosely tied back in a ponytail, and she wore very light makeup.
“I’ll wait for your call, Hinata,” Ino said, her face fixed on Kurenai, but speaking to the girl in the back seat. “And just act naturally; everything will be fine.”
“We’ll help you if you need it,” Sakura added quietly. “Just call us and we’ll come to your aid.”
Hinata gripped the seat tightly and said nothing.
The three of them fell silent as Kurenai approached the car. “Oh? Are all three of you staying? I think I’ll need to prepare more rooms.”
Sakura laughed. “No, we are just here accompanying Hinata, as her friends.”
Hinata got out of the car and took her suitcase with her.
“You’re lucky to have such good friends, Hinata,” Kurenai said, looking at the girls in the car. “Coming all the way here in this weather.”
What? Hinata thought.
It was still cloudy, but the weather forecast had assured them that no more rain was expected until nightfall.
“Are you taking a plane today, Kurenai-sensei?” Sakura asked cordially.
“Yeah, and I have to do it soon, before they cancel my flight because of the weather.”
Ino simply remained silent. The tension was palpable. She was the only one of the three who had openly taken sides.
“Good, then we’ll leave you two alone, so you don’t waste any more time,” Sakura said, fastening her seatbelt. “Have a good trip, Kurenai-sensei, and Hinata, call us if you need anything.”
Kurenai smiled warmly. “Hinata will be fine; I’ve prepared everything for her stay.”
Sakura blushed and replied, “Oh, I see!”
Ino, on the other hand, gave her professor a serious look.
And perhaps sensing the tense atmosphere, Sakura started the car. “Then, we’re off. Have a good trip!” she repeated, but they didn’t stay to hear Kurenai’s reply.
Hinata tensed up, and they both stayed where they were until Sakura’s car disappeared into the distance.
“Well, shall we go in?” Kurenai asked her student.
Hinata turned to look at her and nodded. She didn’t feel ready to say anything, but her professor was smart and surely sensed that Hinata’s friends hadn’t come all that way just in support.
Sakura had gone there wanting to see the new house Kurenai had gotten after the divorce, and Ino... she was simply there as a hater. She would always side with Asuma even if she didn’t know the murky details of the conflict.
It was difficult to get hold of gossip concerning Kurenai and her failed marriage, especially since the Sarutobi family still held considerable power in the city. So the idea of them both using the naïve Hinata to find out the gossip wasn’t far-fetched.
Hinata carried her suitcase inside and looked around in awe, not noticing Kurenai walking to the stairs.
“This way, Hinata,” she said.
Hinata felt herself blush and hurriedly followed her. They both went upstairs. Baby Mirai was asleep in the living room, next to a couple of suitcases.
The house was beautiful, finely furnished, and had interesting paintings hanging on the walls. Everything was spotless and tidy. It was lavishly decorated, and the Sarutobi clan motifs were conspicuously absent.
Oh, something serious must have happened for Kurenai to want to erase all traces of her ex-husband’s clan from her home.
Hinata decided not to comment on the house’s decor and instead focused on finding the reason she was there: the cat.
“Meow.”
The cat was in a room, lying on the bed.
It was a beautiful animal: a large grey tabby. The cat got up when it saw its human enter and walked calmly over to rub against her legs.
Hinata glanced at Kurenai and saw her looking sweetly at her pet. It was obvious that she adored it.
“While I was looking for someone to leave her with, I remembered that you were the only one of my students who wasn’t allergic to cat hair. So the answer was simple: it had to be you.”
Hinata appreciated the gesture, but her professor based that assumption on a small incident in the classroom in which she was the only one who dared to pick up a cat. It had been an instinctive act; she had never been allowed to have pets at home, and her hands had moved on their own.
Kurenai chuckled as if she had also remembered that day and then asked her to follow her. They both left the room, and the cat returned to her spot on the bed.
“As you can see, Willow is a calm cat,” Kurenai said once they were in the hallway. “I’m sure you won’t have any problems with her.”
Hinata smiled genuinely and said, “You can go with confidence; I’ll take good care of her.”
Kurenai sighed. “I know, it’s just that...” She put a hand to her forehead. “Come with me, please.”
They both went downstairs to the spacious kitchen. Above a counter was a large screen divided into four sections. “These are the four cameras installed in the house. If someone rings the doorbell or if you simply notice movement outside, you just have to come and check the cameras. There’s no need to open the doors or anything like that. I’m telling you this because the neighbours’ children sometimes come around to play pranks.”
That was a lot of surveillance for a few mischievous children, wasn’t it? Hinata glanced at her professor but only nodded.
Kurenai pointed with a finger. “This one leads to the garage, and this one to the front door. This one here leads to the street, and this one is Mirai’s room, but you can just leave that room closed and ignore it. The cat isn’t allowed in there.”
The house was well-guarded. So that’s why she noticed Sakura’s car parked on the street, huh?
Hinata turned to look at her. “What about this door?”
She was referring to the door to the side of them, the one that led to the backyard. It was, apparently, the only entrance that wasn’t monitored.
Kurenai shrugged. “We rarely go out into the backyard, so I didn’t see the need to put a camera there. But don’t worry, if someone tries to force it open, an alarm will go off, and the police will arrive in a jiffy.” The professor walked over to the nearest wall and showed her a switch. “Pressing this button turns off the alarm. I’m telling you this in case you want to go out into the backyard.”
Hinata shook her head. “There’s no need. I’d rather not open any doors.”
If the cat were to escape, how would she get it back?
Kurenai seemed pleased to hear this. “Very well. Then I’ll leave in peace.”
Hinata forced her best smile, and the matter was settled. She waited at the entrance while Kurenai went to get the baby and then helped her load everything into a taxi.
“Then, we’re off,” Kurenai said as a farewell.
Hinata smiled at her warmly. “Have a good trip, Kurenai-sensei.”
Her professor caught her in a tight hug. “Thank you. I’ll call you as soon as we land, okay?”
Hinata nodded and then went to lock herself inside as Kurenai got into the taxi. Through the window, she watched the car disappear into the distance.
“Meow.”
Hinata looked down and smiled at Willow. “For these next couple of days, it’ll just be you and me, okay...?”
The cat seemed to lose interest and went upstairs before Hinata could finish speaking.
“Cats,” she whispered, shaking her head. She sighed and looked around, unsure what to do next. She’d been hired to look after a cat for the entire weekend, but Kurenai’s pet seemed to appreciate its alone time, so Hinata wouldn’t have much to do there except make sure it was well-fed.
She grabbed her backpack and carried everything to the living room. She sat down on a comfortable sofa and settled in to read. Exams were over, and she really didn’t feel like studying that weekend, so she immersed herself in the story she was reading.
Hinata didn’t take her eyes off her book until she heard her phone buzzing beside her. She glanced at it and raised an eyebrow. A message.
She reached for her phone. A message from Ino. She shuddered when remembering the side mission she had been assigned: to find Asuma-sensei’s briefcase and give it back to him.
Or, in other words, to betray the trust Kurenai had placed in her. Damn it, Ino.
Hinata opened the message:
‘772’
Nothing else was written, but Hinata understood. That was the code to his briefcase.
Hinata sighed and put her book down. The sooner she finished this, the better. Ino would owe her a big one after that!
“Willow?” Hinata called from the stairs. “Where are you?”
She went upstairs and walked to the room where she knew Willow liked to be. She found her in the same room, but now she was sitting on the windowsill, staring out.
Hinata felt a chill, though she wasn’t quite sure why.
“Don’t get into trouble, okay?” she told the cat, but she ignored her. “I’ll go take a look around the house.”
Willow remained watching intently from the window and even let out a “Meow” at one point.
Worrying wouldn’t do her any good. The house was secure and well-guarded; besides, the alarm would go off if anyone tried to enter through the kitchen. She needed to relax.
Ino had said that Asuma-sensei’s briefcase might be in the attic, so that was the first place she headed. She also needed to take advantage of the fact that it was daylight to do this mission. There was no way she wanted to be searching in the dark in that unfamiliar place.
The attic door gave way and opened with a slight creak. Inside, it was empty, painted entirely in white, and very clean too. The ceiling was low, and there was only one window across the room. It was tightly closed with a pair of wooden shutters.
Nope.
Hinata closed the door and walked away. The place was empty, with nowhere to hide anything. That briefcase wasn’t there.
She went back to Willow’s room and found her lying back on the bed, seemingly asleep.
Hinata made two fists and went back to the hallway. There was no point in being nervous. Everything was going to be alright. She was alone in that house, and no one could get in. She had to calm down.
As she walked down the hallway, she checked the doors. She would be sleeping in the downstairs guest room, so Kurenai hadn’t shown her the rooms on that floor. Perhaps she trusted she would keep her nose away from those rooms?
All the doors opened. Hinata found Mirai’s room and Kurenai’s master bedroom, which was nicely furnished with a huge bed; the rest were furnished too, but it was easy to see that those weren’t used.
She spent a good amount of time searching every room, and her phone buzzed again while she was looking inside a closet.
“Yes?” she answered.
“Hinata, have you found it?!”
Hinata rolled her eyes. Couldn’t she have said hello first?
“Nope. I already looked in the attic, but there was nothing in there. Right now, I’m looking in the bedrooms, but...” Hinata’s eyes widened when she saw that, in that closet, behind many dusty boxes, was an object that looked like a briefcase.
However, she kept her mouth shut.
“But?” Ino insisted.
She reached out and confirmed that it was indeed a briefcase. Even so, she lied. “But I haven’t had any luck.”
Ino sighed into her phone.
“There are plenty of places to look, that’s all,” Hinata explained, picking up the briefcase before standing up. “It’ll take me a while to find it. Be patient.”
Ino chuckled. “I know. I’m sorry. You’re doing so much for Asuma-sensei. The least I could do is be patient.”
Hinata took the briefcase to the bed and examined it silently. It had apparently been stored in that closet for a long time, as it was covered in a thin layer of dust.
“What does he keep in that briefcase, anyway?” Hinata asked with genuine interest. “I mean, going to so much trouble over something like this...”
“I know as much as you do,” Ino admitted. “He didn’t give me much of an explanation either.”
“Maybe it has something to do with an inheritance, maybe?”
The Sarutobi family was still ridiculously influential in that city, so anything was possible. “Maybe. Actually, he acted a bit out of character when I told him one of my friends was going to be watching the cat. I mean, he seemed really happy when I told him it would be you.”
“Oh?” Hinata asked, entering the code—772—and it clicked open.
“I don’t know,” Ino said. “Maybe he thought Kurenai would give you enough freedom to search the house, because of how much she trusts you.”
That didn’t make her feel any better. If anything, it made her feel even more guilty. There she was, betraying her professor’s trust to help a friend.
Her stomach churned.
“Um, Ino, I’ll call you later,” Hinata lied. “Willow’s at the door; she’s probably hungry.”
Ino chuckled. “Right, that fat cat! Okay, talk to you later, Hinata. Thanks for everything!”
Hinata sighed and tossed her phone aside when the call ended. Then, she focused on the briefcase in front of her and noticed that inside... there was nothing that seemed important. Some folders and envelopes... some CDs. DVDs.
She frowned. Whatever was on those discs was surely important.
Her hands picked up one of the many envelopes and noticed that they were all simply tied with strings. She was on a mission, okay? And if she’d already sinned enough by rummaging through Kurenai’s belongings, she’d at least find out the reason for all the secrecy.
The string gave way, and Hinata turned the envelope over, so its contents fell onto the bed. Photographs. Many photographs.
She picked one up and... oh.
Hinata dropped the photograph and jumped to her feet.
“Meow.”
She turned to the door and saw Willow standing there, staring at her.
“W-Willow!” she blurted out. “A-are you hungry?!”
The cat looked at her silently for a few seconds before letting out another “Meow.”
Hinata put a hand to her forehead and noticed she was sweating profusely. Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at the photographs scattered on the bed and followed the cat downstairs.
She struggled to fill the cat’s food bowl. Her hands were shaking.
“Meow.”
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Hinata said, picking up the kibble that had fallen to the floor. “Come on, this should be enough. Willow?”
The cat was standing on the kitchen counter, staring out the window.
A trickle of sweat ran down Hinata’s back. There she was again, that cat, meowing as she gazed out the window.
Hinata cleared her throat and stood up. “Here, come eat.”
Whatever Willow was looking at through the window was no more important than a bowl of food. The cat hopped down and started eating.
Hinata sighed and leaned back against the kitchen counter. Goodness, she needed to relax, or else it would be a very long weekend.
She left the cat eating, intending to take a hot bath.
She still had to get back to the matter of the briefcase, but she didn’t want to dwell on it just yet. Instead, she took her bathrobe and everything else she needed for the bath out of her suitcase.
Perhaps the hot water would help her relax—to stop thinking about what she’d seen in the photographs in Asuma-sensei’s briefcase.
She locked herself in the bathroom and began filling the tub. Steam soon filled the room. It was on the second floor, and the only window in the bathroom was a thin skylight high up on the wall. Hinata dropped a bath bomb into the water, and while it worked its magic, she went to undress. Then, she pinned her hair to the back of her neck.
There was no point in dwelling on it. She had agreed to look for that briefcase, and it was her own curiosity that had led her to look inside. But then—oh. Hinata gasped and brought her hands to her mouth.
The water was ready and, still in shock, she stepped into it.
If the briefcase contained such intimate and secret items... why would he had wanted her to have the key to open it? That is, why couldn’t he just get his belongings back and be done with it? Why would he have wanted her to look inside?!
Hinata leaned back against the edge of the tub and closed her eyes. The water was delicious, and a wonderful, relaxing scent wafted from it.
But the contents of the photo continued to disturb her. She opened her eyes and looked through the skylight. The sun was setting. Soon it would be nightfall, and Kurenai-sensei would call to tell her about her trip.
Neither the image of Kurenai nor her daughter could stop Hinata from thinking about the photograph she had seen. She squeezed her thighs tightly together, as she always did when she was aroused.
Why would he have kept erotic photos in a briefcase? Hinata blushed. And more importantly, would Kurenai-sensei know? Perhaps that had been the reason for their hasty divorce. Perhaps her professor had come home one day and found her husband taking pictures of his cock.
Hinata put her hands to her face and shook her head.
She had never seen a penis that wasn’t printed in a biology textbook before, so she suddenly didn’t know how to process the fact that she’d seen a picture of her professor naked!
She sighed and leaned her head back against the edge of the tub. She glanced at the skylight and noticed the sun was already setting.
The water was great, but it wasn’t doing anything to relax her. Her limbs were still tense, and she still felt that tightness in her stomach.
Hinata stood up and dried herself; brushed her hair. Then she slipped into her bathrobe. She had forgotten to bring her underwear into the bathroom, but she was home alone, so it wouldn’t be a big deal if she walked around naked under the robe, at least for a while.
She stepped out of the bathroom, deciding she would clean up later.
“Willow?” she called out, but there was no answer.
Hinata went downstairs and found the cat sleeping on one of the sofas. She smiled at the sight and grabbed her backpack. Then, she went back upstairs, ready to continue searching through the briefcase.
Everything was exactly as she had left it a little while ago. Hinata had silently prayed that the whole thing had been a bad dream and that those photographs didn’t exist, but things didn’t just vanish into thin air.
She sat down on the bed and continued looking through the photographs. Each one was more intimate and erotic than the last, and there was a moment when her face just stayed red the whole time. That man was shameless. He knew he was hot and had no qualms about showing it. Goodness!
Hinata put the photographs aside and lay back on the bed. Damn, why did she feel so... turned on? This was it, they were just photographs!
She jumped up and paced the room, trying to relax. Calm down, calm down. Inhale, exhale.
Her feet carried her back to the closet, and that’s when Hinata connected the dots. This was the room where Kurenai-sensei had stored everything that belonged to her ex-husband. A few shirts were hanging on hooks, and Hinata picked one up. A wine-red shirt. She brought it to her nose and inhaled deeply. It still smelled like him.
Hinata had no idea what Asuma-sensei might smell like, but she suspected this must be his personal scent. It smelled intensely masculine, and maybe a little like tobacco.
She took the shirt with her and lay back down on the bed. Then, she covered herself with it, letting his scent envelop her. It was as if he had climbed on top of her.
The thought made her sit up abruptly. Hinata gasped in response. Damn. She felt so needy. Her thighs were already slippery.
She was alone in this house. Even if it wasn’t hers, she could still take certain liberties.
She opened her robe and brought her fingers to her crotch, while with her other hand she rubbed his shirt against her face.
“A-ah!” she gasped as her fingertips traced circles on her clit. “Ah, Asuma-sensei.”
She stopped her hand when she heard herself. Was she going to fantasize about Kurenai’s ex-husband now? Hadn’t she sinned enough already?
Even so, she couldn’t stop. Hinata took off her robe and dressed only in the shirt she’d taken from the closet. It was huge on her, but this way it was as if she were being embraced by its owner. She lay back on the bed and closed her eyes as her fingers returned to her clit. She smiled as she imagined that those fingers caressing her were Asuma-sensei’s—that the fingers burying themselves in her cunt were his.
“A-Asuma-sensei,” she whispered. She’d always thought of him as somewhat serious and aloof, but appearances could be deceiving, and she couldn’t help but imagine what he’d be like in bed. Now that she knew this naughty side of him, she didn’t know what to expect.
Would he know she had seen the photos? What if he had planned it this way? Why?!
“Ah! Yes!” She pulled her wet fingers from her pussy and quickly stroked her clit with them until she came. “Ah, Asuma-sensei, yes!”
Damn.
She lay there until her breathing returned to normal. Then, she wiped her fingers on the shirt without reacting to what she was doing. It didn’t matter.
Damn, it had felt incredible. Masturbating in that house, while looking at Asuma-sensei’s intimate photos—while wearing a shirt that probably belonged to him!
Hinata chuckled. This was something her friends would have undoubtedly done, but her? It was hard to believe, even for herself.
Then, she remained silent, until suddenly, her cell phone vibrated beside her.
Hinata opened her eyes and reached for it. It was a call from Kurenai; she answered, trying to make her voice sound normal. “Hello?”
“Hinata, hi, how are you? We both arrived at our destination safely!”
Hinata sat up in bed and stared at the nearest wall, trying not to think about what she had just done. “Wow, that was quick! I’m so glad you arrived safely!”
In the background, she could hear little Mirai babbling, and Hinata smiled in response.
“So... how is everything over there? How’s Willow? I hope she’s not being naughty.”
Hinata blushed. “No... she’s a good girl. And... everything’s fine, I think.”
“I heard it’s raining heavily over there.”
What?! Hinata thought. It’s raining?! She hadn’t noticed. She’d been too busy fantasizing about Kurenai’s ex-husband to notice, and besides, the room didn’t have any windows.
“I honestly hadn’t noticed. I just took a bath, and it wasn’t raining a while ago.”
“Oh, I see!” Kurenai answered on the phone.
Hinata swallowed audibly.
“Okay, I’ll leave you then. I just called to let you know we’d arrived safely. I’ll call you back later, okay?”
Hinata forced a smile as if her professor could see it. “Y-yeah!”
“Oh, I almost forgot, Hinata,” Kurenai’s voice had turned serious. “From what I can see on the security cameras, some mischievous kids have been hanging around the doors. Make sure you don’t open them, okay? You have everything you need for the weekend in the kitchen.”
Was her professor... warning her not to open the doors? Hinata frowned. Why? What had she seen? Hinata replied, “Okay! I won’t open them!”
Kurenai sighed into her phone. “I know I can trust you, it’s just... oh, never mind. Never mind me! See you later. Sleep well!”
“Thanks; see you!”
Then, her professor hung up.
Hinata slumped back onto the bed and dropped her phone. What could Kurenai-sensei have seen to make her so defensive? Hinata’s frown deepened.
Then she remembered where she was and what she had been doing just a little while ago. She sat on the bed and arranged the photographs inside the envelope. Afterward, she kept looking inside and didn’t find anything else of note. There were more envelopes with more photographs, but they were all the same thing: nudes of him, with a strong focus on his penis.
Hinata took her laptop out of her backpack and turned it on, intending to see what was inside those DVDs. She squeezed her thighs together as she waited, imagining that perhaps there was more of that forbidden, hot, naked man on them. She bit her lip as she stared at the ceiling.
She could hardly wait.
Of course, she felt guilty for doing this—betraying the trust Kurenai-sensei had in her—but what was done was done. Besides, what harm would a little fun do? No one would find out what she was doing, after all. It wasn’t like she was going to tell her friends about any of this! They already considered her too boring for Hinata to want to add fuel to the fire. When the laptop was ready, Hinata inserted a DVD, which had the number “1” written on it with a marker, and waited. It was a recording. Oh.
Hinata turned up the volume and lay back on the bed while watching the video. Asuma-sensei was standing in front of the camera, wearing only a bathrobe.
“Now that you’ve seen the pictures, tell me, do you want me to do it again on camera?”
Hinata gasped in shock when she heard him speak in the video.
Naturally, he continued without waiting for an answer. He reached for the sash that kept his bathrobe closed and opened it, then let it fall to the floor.
Hinata’s eyes widened. The image was more shocking in the video because this way she could see... the dimensions of his cock in a more realistic way.
It was huge.
“Look at this, you naughty girl,” he continued speaking in the video, while he placed a hand on his cock. He pulled back its foreskin and pointed it at the camera, so the transparent pearls peeping from the small opening were clearly visible. “Just thinking about you is enough to make me do this, baby.”
Hinata’s face grew hotter. Her ears were red-hot, as if the video had been filmed for her pleasure.
His hand continued its up-and-down motion, accompanied by some deep grunts.
“Oh, you’re such a good girl.”
She bit her lip and gave a half-smile, her eyes glued to the screen.
And even though Hinata didn’t know much about passion or romantic relationships, she understood that this must be one of the reasons Kurenai’s marriage had failed. If Kurenai were to find any of these recordings—or worse, catch her husband filming this kind of content for someone else—it would certainly become an irreconcilable difference; a dark secret she had to keep hidden at all costs.
Hinata understood why she shouldn’t talk about this. Ever.
“Are you comfortable watching this?” the man in the video asked.
Hinata nodded shyly.
“Good,” Asuma added after waiting silently for a few seconds. “I want you to do something for me.”
She smiled, her cheeks warming again.
“Take off those clothes, darling, and spread your thighs. Touch yourself; imagine those fingers are mine.”
Hinata gasped in response and whispered, “If you knew I am wearing one of your shirts, Asuma-sensei... what would you do?”
He didn’t answer, for obvious reasons, but instead continued stroking his cock faster.
The camera didn’t cover much, so she couldn’t see Asuma’s face, but she could see his skin reddening with each passing second and the way his muscles tensed.
It was still an incredible sight.
Hinata lay back, her shirt opening completely, revealing her breasts. She was already breathing heavily, and she hadn’t even started touching herself yet.
She brought a couple of fingers to her clitoris and moaned softly at the mere touch. Her flesh was so sensitive that just a few caresses were enough to make her tremble from head to toe.
“Ah,” she breathed softly. “Hmm.”
“I bet you’re really wet, baby,” he said in the video.
And she smiled. Yes, she was. Her fingers slid easily over her folds, and this newfound wetness was already reaching her thighs. She was very wet.
“Fucking you would be so easy, baby,” Asuma said huskily.
Hinata blushed even more, if that was possible.
“Put a couple of fingers inside, darling. Imagine it’s me touching you.”
She bit her lip and obeyed. Her fingers slid easily between her wet folds and sank to the base inside.
“Ah,” she gasped, her gaze returning to the screen. His cock was glistening and lubricated, and without quite knowing why, her mouth watered.
He growled louder, the defined muscles of his abdomen tensing.
The sight was breathtaking. She couldn’t tear her eyes away.
“Touch yourself faster, baby; I want to hear that watery sound filling the room,” he urged. “If those were my fingers, I’d go really fast!”
She obeyed, and soon, not even her professor’s gasps were loud enough to drown out the watery sound Hinata’s fingers were making.
He chuckled, as if he could hear her. “That’s it. You’re doing it great!” He let out another grunt. “Look at that wet pussy, baby. I’d love to drink the very last drop of you.”
Hinata looked away, and her fingers stopped. Damn it, why was she getting so nervous over a recording that wasn’t even for her? All these things he was saying were directed at someone else. Why was she suddenly so nervous?
“I’d love for you to be my dinner; I’d devour you whole.”
Her fingers moved gently again. Her wet fingertips flew back to her sensitive clit and traced imaginary circles over it.
“I’d eat that tasty cunt before burying this little friend inside you.”
She chuckled and turned to face the screen. “Asuma-sensei, there’s no way you’re calling that ‘little friend’.”
He grunted in response and brought the tip of his cock closer to the camera. He shuddered and groaned as he came.
Even Hinata stopped to watch the scene, not wanting to miss a thing. He squeezed his cock until all the semen came out. Finally, he showed the camera the last few whitish drops that oozed from the small hole at the tip.
Then he let out a long sigh. And laughed. “Did you see that? All of this happens to me just thinking about you... Hinata.”
Hinata gasped and jumped out of bed while staring intently at the screen.
He laughed again. A husky laugh.
“I hope you found this briefcase, Hinata. And I hope you enjoyed it.”
She shook her head, her eyes wide and unable to tear themselves away from the screen. And then, the recording simply ended.
She clutched her chest. Her breathing was ragged, her heart pounding. Why? How?!
She frowned. Why on earth had she opened that briefcase? Why on earth had she agreed to do that mission?!
And what disturbed her most, did Ino know anything about this?
No, she thought. Her friend would never have gone along with something like this. If Ino had insisted so vehemently for her help, it was because she cared deeply for her professor and felt a certain duty to help him.
What the hell?
What was she supposed to do now? Pretend nothing had happened? But how?
“Meow.”
She blinked a few times and looked toward the closed door. Willow.
Hinata hurried to the door and opened it. In the hallway was the cat she was supposed to be looking after.
“Hi, girl.”
“Meow.”
Time had flown by while she played inside the room. The hallway was dark, and now she could hear the rain pouring down.
Hinata walked to the nearest window and saw that a storm was raging. It was hard to see more than a couple of meters ahead—in fact, her gaze couldn’t reach the street, that’s how intense it was.
She sighed and looked down at the cat that had followed her there. “Are you scared of the rain?”
“Meow.”
Hinata gave a half-smile and casually began buttoning her shirt.
“Meow.”
It was the cat that brought her back to reality, and her fingers froze. What on earth was she doing buttoning that shirt? Why on earth didn’t she just take it off already?!
Hinata turned around and went back into the room to change out of that shirt and into her bathrobe. Damn it, she had definitely gone crazy! She simply closed the bedroom door and walked to the end of the hallway to turn on the lights. The place looked terrifying in the dark.
“Come with me, Willow, I’m hungry.”
The cat followed Hinata downstairs, and together they walked to the kitchen. The cat had finished her bowl and jumped onto the counter as she watched Hinata move around.
Hinata’s first instinct was to check the security cameras. Mirai’s room was dark and motionless, as expected, but the others, well, the heavy rain kept them constantly moving. It was a real downpour.
Hinata poured herself some cereal because she didn’t really want anything else. Now that her fever had subsided, she was starting to feel hungry, but at the same time, she didn’t want to eat anything heavy.
She sighed and took her cell phone out of her bathrobe pocket. She had some messages from her friends, asking if she needed anything.
She smiled gently. It would be irresponsible if any of her friends dared to go out in weather like this. She’d tell them everything—of course, avoiding the intimate details—when they saw each other again.
Hinata put her phone down on the table and stood up to do the dirty dishes.
“Meow,” Willow said, peeking through the kitchen curtains at the dark backyard.
A loud clap of thunder sounded at that moment, making Hinata flinch.
“Relax,” Hinata said to the cat, or to herself. “It’s just a little rain. Everything will be fine.”
She swallowed audibly, and the cat let out another “Meow.”
Another clap of thunder sounded, and she simply put the dishes in the sink. The lights flickered momentarily, and then her phone buzzed again.
“Meow.”
“Relax, Willow,” Hinata whispered as she picked up her phone. “You’re just making me nervous.” It was a message from a number she didn’t recognise, and obviously, she didn’t open it. This was the most boring cliché in the world: the babysitter left alone in someone else’s house who starts being harassed by an anonymous number. Ridiculous.
Even so, she felt a trickle of sweat run down her back.
Since she hadn’t opened the message, someone called her.
Hinata dropped her phone on the table and leaned against the kitchen counter until the call died.
“Meow.”
“Stop with the meows, okay?!” Hinata snapped, looking at the cat, but Willow wasn’t talking to her, but to... something or someone in the backyard.
“Meow.”
She sighed, but the calm didn’t last long, because another call came in.
Hinata didn’t have to check her phone to know it was the same unknown number.
If this was a prank by her friends, it was seriously awful. The call ended.
No. Hinata frowned. They would never do something like that. But then, who?
Insistently, a third call came in on her cell phone, and Hinata decided that this nightmare wouldn’t end until she put a stop to it. So she mustered her courage and walked to the table; she picked up her phone and answered the call. “Hello?”
“Hinata, for goodness’ sake, why weren’t you answering?”
Hinata’s stomach dropped. It was Asuma-sensei.
She swallowed audibly and forced herself to speak, “Uh, I’m so sorry, Asuma-sensei, but I didn’t know your number, and I didn’t want to answer!”
A laugh. She shuddered, remembering it was the same husky laugh she had heard on the recording.
“I see,” he said. “I was about to call Ino to let her know I was coming myself before it started raining, but I couldn’t contact her.”
Another clap of thunder sounded, but this time Hinata was too busy to notice.
“So here I am,” he added.
Hinata didn’t know how to respond to that. She wasn’t supposed to open any doors—besides, letting her professor’s ex in would be a terrible idea!
She had to find a way to get rid of him, and fast.
“I see, Sensei, uh... you are here for your briefcase, right?”
There was silence on the other end of the phone. “That’s right.”
She shuddered. Damn it.
“Well, I’ve been looking for it, but I haven’t had any luck,” she lied. “Maybe tomorrow when—”
“That won’t be necessary,” he interrupted her. “I know where I put it, so it’ll be quick. I’ll only be in for a second. Kurenai won’t find out about this, I promise.”
There was no way she could believe him on that. Hinata gripped the phone tightly.
“A-Asuma-sensei, I feel like this is a bad idea and—”
“Meow.”
Hinata looked mortified at the cat and froze when she saw her wagging her tail happily, as if she had spotted someone familiar through the window.
Damn it.
“Don’t be cruel, I’m right here outside,” Asuma said into the phone. “Completely soaked.”
And it was true. Hinata hadn’t noticed the heavy rain on the phone. Her professor must be out there somewhere in the dark backyard. Clever man, she thought. Somehow, he knew Kurenai-sensei had forgotten to put a camera on the kitchen door, so he could wander unnoticed. Out of the corner of her eye, Hinata glanced at the screen with the cameras, but obviously saw no unusual movement. He had planned it too well.
“Just press the button and the alarm will deactivate.”
What? He knew that too?!
She didn’t know what to do.
“I’ll be gone before you know it.”
She couldn’t do that. All the evidence was in the upstairs room—the DVD in the laptop, the scattered photos, the shirt carelessly thrown on the bed.
She couldn’t let him in.
“Meow. Meooow!”
Hinata watched, wide-eyed, as the cat jumped down to the floor and walked to the door. He was standing there, outside.
“Hinata,” Asuma said from the other side of the door. “It’ll be quick, I promise. I just need—”
“W-why are you so insistent?!” she asked, her voice trembling. “Please, come back tomorrow and—”
“You watched it, didn’t you?”
She froze, dropping her phone to the ground.
His voice had become very deep and serious, almost like when he spoke to her as he reached his orgasm.
Her eyes widened.
“What did you think of my little gift?”
“Why are you doing this?” she demanded, her voice trembling. “Kurenai-sensei...”
He sighed. “If you let me in, I’ll explain it all, okay? Besides, I’m absolutely drenched.”
“Meow.”
She stared incredulously at the door lock.
“I’ll be good, I promise.”
There was no way she could believe him.
But still, she walked over to the switch and turned off the alarm—or so she thought, because there was no change she could identify.
“Come on, Hinata, I’m freezing.”
Her feet carried her back to the door, and she stared at it, trying to think of what to do. He was her professor and an acquaintance of her father. Besides, Ino trusted him completely, didn’t she? He certainly wouldn’t take advantage of her.
The doorknob turned and the door clicked open.
“Meow, meow!” Willow was overjoyed to see the newcomer, but she kept her distance, since it was true that he was completely soaked.
The door closed behind him with another click.
“Ugh, damn it, this rain!”
She clasped her hands in front of her and waited.
“Now, tell me, did you like the video?” Asuma asked with a sly grin.
Hinata looked away to hide her blush. Yes, I enjoyed it a lot, she wanted to say.
“There are about ten videos just like that one,” he admited. “Or... well, maybe you already know that. How many did you watch, Hinata?”
“Please, just go home and ignore this, okay?”
He shrugged. “Fine, I’ll stop bothering you, but before I go, I’m going to change. I don’t want to ruin my car seats.”
She shook her head and tried to stop him, but he was stronger and faster and quickly went upstairs.
“A-Asuma-sensei, please don’t!”
She went upstairs too, but it didn’t help much. By the time she got there, he was already in the room where all the evidence was.
He was too cunning and had beaten her at this game.
“Oh, Hinata.”
She walked slowly until she reached the only room with lights on. Fearfully, she went in since she couldn’t see him from the hallway.
A couple of dark puddles had formed with his soaked clothes, and more clothes were still falling onto the floor.
How the hell was she going to dry that before Kurenai-sensei got back?! However, her fears shifted when her eyes left the clothes on the floor and focused on the naked man standing before the bed.
Her eyes widened, and as she took a few steps back, she bumped into the wall.
“Meow,” Willow said from the hallway.
Asuma walked to the door and said, “Sorry, Willow, but you can’t see this.” Then he closed the door and focused on the young woman beside him.
Hinata stared at him, wide-eyed, and was very, oh, very flushed.
He grinned from ear to ear. “I see you’ve been having a little fun in here,” he said. “I can smell your cunt if I concentrate, Hinata. You’re aroused.”
She gasped.
And he laughed huskily.
“Let’s play for a while, shall we? Trust me, this would be much funnier than just playing with your fingers.”
