Moon grew up in a hole in a tree, hidden from the world. For five years, she followed her mother's orders: stay safe, stay secret, stay invisible.
But the NightWing island exploded, and hiding stopped being an option.
Now she and her mother, Secretkeeper, live in a crowded Nightwing village. And that's when Secretkeeper decides its time for Moon to claw her way out of her shell. She wants Moon to go to Jade Mountain Academy, a new intertribal school founded by the Dragonets Of Destiny.
The problem is Moon can hear everyone's thoughts.
Some of the other dragons are hostile to her, which doesn't help the fact she can hear everything they think. She believes she's the only one with her 'issues'.
Until another mind starts talking to her.
