Work Text:

Jennie was currently sitting on one of the benches at the university she’s enrolled in, enthralled with a book that she was reading a book beside her were her friends Jisoo, Chahee, Irene, and Nayeon. And while sitting there Jisoo was playing a game, Chahee was observing people, Nayeon was looking at her phone, texting her other friends, while Irene was listening to music. Then, Jisoo noticed something from afar and looked at it for a while until she realized something.

“Hey, Jennie, is that your girlfriend?” Jisoo pointed out, which made Jennie look up from her seat since she was reading a book. “Huh? Wait, how did you know, Soo?” Nayeon asked as she looked up from her phone in confusion. “Well, I guess it’s probably because there’s a crowd of girls over there,” Chahee then pointed out. “Plus, I heard someone pass by us talking about a girl with a cool car,” Jisoo then told the two, who nodded as Irene took her headphones off. “Isn’t she picking you up today?” was her question to Jennie, who nodded. “Yep,” she answered them with a smile while she stood up.

The girls then watched as Jennie excitedly ran towards the crowd and followed her. There was Lisa, looking cool and calm while waiting beside her car, with girls staring at her. Upon seeing her, Jennie had to push through the crowd just to see Lisa, while her friends did the same because they wanted to see what was going to happen. When Jennie got to the front, whispers from the crowd were heard. Lisa walked over with a smile. “Hey babe,” she greeted, taking Jennie’s hand. “Hey hon,” she responded as the whispers got louder about Jennie dating someone.

Lisa looked around and then greeted Jisoo, Chahee, Irene, and Nayeon, who greeted her back. Lisa told Jisoo and Irene that Rosé and Seulgi would arrive later to pick them up, and the two thanked her for the information. As she got near Jennie, she asked, “So, let’s go?” Jennie nodded happily as Lisa opened the passenger seat for her. Jennie entered the car and then stared at the people. “What are you guys looking at?” She said with a glare. “Okay, c’mon people, stop crowding them,” Irene then spoke, and with that, the crowd dispersed, though some continued talking about what had happened. Lisa entered the car and drove off, with Jennie waving goodbye to the four, who waved back at her. After seeing the car disappear, they went back to where they had been sitting.

Back in the car, Jennie was looking out the window. “You really made an entrance there, huh?” Jennie said with an amused tone as she stared at Lisa. “Well, I wanted to show those boys who have been flirting with you that you’re off the market,” Lisa replied, shocking Jennie. “You know that?” she asked Lisa, who nodded. “Yep, Jisoo told me about it because they were getting so annoying, so I had to do something about it,” Lisa then told her. “And it worked because I saw their reaction when you arrived, and it was hilarious,” she added with a laugh, which made Jennie chuckle. “Anyways, wanna go on a date?” Lisa’s next question was Jennie, who nodded as they drove to their favorite restaurant for their date.
