Lucifer the king of hell.
The ruler of the underworlds.
The first ever fallen angel.
All of these descriptions and yet lucifer still felt a pit in his heart. I pain that wouldn't subside. All these years ago his one and only true love had left him and his young daughter Charlie to commit to her mission. To save her people.
He longed for her during the night, her soft touch on his saddened face. Her slim arms wrapped around him making him feel safe again, making him feel like lucifer the king of hell. But now all he was, was lucifer. The deadbeat dad, the king with no power, the king without his queen.
Lucifer rolled over in his bed swiftly swiping up a small duck next to him. He had added long blonde hair to the small toy, and sprayed it with Lilith's perfume. He held it tightly against his chest. Her scent calming him that slight bit.
His phone buzzed on his bedside table. His dear daughter flashed up on his screen. He quickly picked up his phone and swiped to answer her call.
"Charlie! My dearest daughter! How's life!?" Lucifer exclaimed, still not fully knowing how to talk to his daughter.
"Uhhhh- Hey Dad!" Her voice seemed shakey and upset "Can you talk?"
Lucifer sits up in his bed still stroking the duck impersonating lilith "Yes my darling daughter, im all ears hit me!" He tried to lighted the mood but he could tell something was completley off about her tone of voice.
"Well...everything has settled itself in place since we destroyed vox, and the hotel is beaming and pencious came to visit and everything is great! But uh-" She hitched her words back. "Well...Mum Called...!" Charlie let out a cough adjusting her voice.
Lucifer couldn't believe what he was hearing, His lilith, His beloved wife had gotten back in contact with hell. with his daughter.
Lucifers eyes grew moist with the tears now welling up in his eyes.
8 years had passed and maybe, just maybe he could finally have her back.
"W-What! Thats just amazing charlie! Well when did she call? What did she say? Is she okay? Is she coming back? she is coming back right? Did she mention me at all?" His word could not stop spilling out his mouth. Every emotion known to man flooded his heart. Fear, Happiness, Hope, Sadness, Anxiety all at once.
"Woah dad! yes...Shes okay..! It was wierd hearing her voice again, Its still as soft as i remember..." Charlie let out an exited giggle.
A tear travelled down Lu's left cheak, He was so overwhelmed at hearing this news. Maybe all this waiting was worth it in the end.
"Oh and dad?" Charlie broke the short break of silence.
"Yes Charlie?" He was eager to know if she had any more information about what was happening before he completley lost it.
"She really, really wants to see you. she mentioned you a lot. im so happy for you guys...Shes going to be waiting at the hotel tomorrow. will you come...?" She said slowly and clearly but the pure exitement in his daughters voice could still be noticed.
"YES! I mean *Cough* Yes Yes i'll see what i could do. i can try make it work" Lucifer shut his eyes with embarassment, he can't contain his emotions much more.
"Thanks dad, I love you" Charlie says softly before quickly hanging up the phone,
Lucifer inhaled sharpley
"ShIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHITT!" The Nurvousness hit him like a brick, His heart had dropped fully to his feet at this point. Its been so long. who knows if they will recognise eachother now, if they will still love each other...
