Walk in the park

Summary:

April Ludgate is a park ranger in Brown County. She’s content where she is, until Ann Perkins joins the team and shakes up April’s world a bit.

Notes:

Butch April!! And Ann is potentially Butch as well.

First time writing April as a lesbian. I love Butch April a lot

Work Text:

When April was little she hated the outdoors. It was gross, and dirty, and too open. It made her feel weird. Her parents took her camping with her sister and the moment April realized she would have to shit in a hole, she refused anything outdoorsy for years. Toilets were invented for a reason.

She kept this up for awhile. It was surprisingly easy to avoid camping if you hung around the right people. And she had no issue with that, other than the occasional restlessness she felt sometimes that she couldn’t identify.

Then she got an internship at Brown County state park when she was 22, and met Ron Swanson.

Ron was 40, gruff, completely impersonal, and the perfect role model for a budding butch.

April knew she was queer pretty early on, but went from bisexual until she really hated men, came out as a lesbian at 20, and as she spent time with Ron—the only man she actually trusted—realized she liked the outdoors. And she was good at the outdoors stuff.

At 25 she became a park ranger. And she went from a scrawny twerp, to pretty buff. She had to work at actually bulking up enough to make herself happy and feel more at home in her body, because her natural body shape was pretty slim.

She went on low dose T at 24, so that helped. She put on muscle, became an expert on chopping wood, and became Ron’s surrogate son.

Ron was only 18 years older than April so he didn’t love being April’s “dad” especially since April had her own father. But April explained that she was his son, but he wasn't her dad. He didn’t understand but let it go.

So, April was pretty happy—despite it rarely showing on her blank face.

But, and she wouldn’t admit this, she was lonely. It wasn’t that she never saw other lesbians— she worked in a park, there were plenty of lesbians. But said lesbians were often already paired up, because of course that’s where they’re going on dates.

Seeing cute lesbian couples—some throuples—together made April gag.

She didn’t need a relationship to be happy, but… it would be nice.

“There was another broken ankle on a trail,” Ron said as April came in for her shift.

April lived on-site, but in a cabin nearly a mile away from the office. When she started her position as a park ranger, she was given the option to live wherever but she was on her own for rent, plus she had to commute. Or, live in the woods, have her housing paid for, and her commute was a walk in the woods.

Young April would’ve said ‘fuck no’. 25-year-old April said absolutely. As long as there was a functioning toilet—there was— she was all for it. But that meant unless she was sick, she had no excuses for not coming to work.

“That’s the third one this month,” April said. “People need to stop tripping. Of course there’s roots and rocks and shit, you’re hiking.”

“Leslie looked at the budget and saw we have money for an on- site medic.”

Leslie was the director for the parks department in Brown County. She was a perky blonde woman with an infectious smile and piercing blue eyes. April had tried to not like her, but Leslie was someone who truly cared about the parks and fought for funding constantly. April respected her because of her generosity.

The one annoying thing Leslie did was she constantly said she wishes she was gay.

(“I love women, I just…have never been in love with a woman. And I love my boyfriend, Ben.”

Leslie said this a few times, but April mostly ignored her.

“I think vaginas are beautiful, but… I don’t know if I could…”

April usually gave her a long stare anytime she said something like this. Leslie would get the hint and stop.)

“People just need to stop being so clumsy. It’s not that hard to walk,” April grumbled at the coffee maker.

“I agree, but the last thing we need is some idiot suing the park. It at least makes it look like we’re trying. Leslie already has a suggestion.”

“I’m sure she does,” April snarked. She combed her fingers through her short hair.

“She said, and I quote, ‘the most beautiful nurse in the world.’” Ron pulled out a file. “Ann Perkins, 30, works at IU Health in Bloomington.”

“Would she actually want to work here?” April pictured a prissy woman tip-toeing around outside, making a face at the insects buzzing around.

“Leslie said she was tired of working in the hospital, wanted something new,” Ron said. “You know I hate new people, but I think it would be beneficial.”

April shrugged. It sounded like it was already decided, so it didn’t matter what she said. Even though she really did hate new people.

A week later, Ann was expected to join the team. Leslie had come in with balloons and a huge banner she had printed. It said, “welcome to the park, Ann!!!”

April hadn’t slept well the night before—some animal kept scratching at her cabin—so she was not in the mood to talk to anyone new.

Ann Perkins arrived a bit later. April’s first impression of her was, Ann was cute. Pretty, even. She had a charming, somewhat doofy, smile that reached her eyes. Her voice was low but soft.

“Ann Perkins, my beautiful friend!” Leslie chirped. “Everyone, this is Ann, the best nurse in the world.”

Ann squirmed under the praise, smiling shyly.

‘Everyone’ in the office was April, Ron, and Donna, the marketing director. Donna hated the outdoors, but she was good at her job. Luckily for Donna, she didn’t always have to be in the park office, usually only there when she had social media work to do and had to force April to do some stupid trend.

“Ann,” Ron said gruffly, nodding his head. Ann returned it. Her hands were folded in front of her, her fingers twisting together nervously.

Leslie introduced Ann to everyone. When she got to April, April put on a slight scowl to tell Ann she didn’t want to get too close to the woman. Ron was April’s friend, Donna slightly, and April was good with that. She didn’t have the mental energy for anyone else.

“This is April Ludgate, the best park ranger in the world. She’s really come into her own in the past few years.” Leslie beamed at April proudly. Like Ann, April squirmed away from Leslie’s aggressive praise and sparkling blue eyes.

As they shook hands, April squeezed Ann’s hand a bit, and to her shock, Ann squeezed back. April was pleasantly surprised to find Ann’s grip wasn't weak.

“It’s nice to meet you, April,” Ann said in a cheerful voice. She smiled fully, slightly toothy, but it seemed genuine. April was always on guard, though, especially with someone as pretty as Ann.

No, stop thinking Ann is pretty.

April grunted and pulled her hand away. “Ann.”

Leslie continued giving Ann a tour. Donna sidled up April and nudged her.

“She’s pretty cute,” Donna said with a wide grin.

“Sure. And probably straight.”

Donna gave her a long, hard look. April frowned. “What?”

“Are you stupid? Didn’t you see her belt? It has pinks and oranges on it. Isn’t that the lesbian flag?”

“For one thing, how do you know that? And two, a lot straight women like pinks and oranges.”

“I stay well-versed to lesbian culture for my butch buddy,” Donna teased. “You’re assuming she isn’t gay because she’s feminine.”

“I’ve fallen for straight girls before, it’s not happening again.”

Shawna was a disaster. The reporter from Bloomington was constantly flirting with April, had her do various butch-adjacent tasks, was always hanging out with April. It got to the point April thought they were dating. Except there was no kissing—except for Shawna constantly joking they should kiss— and certainly no sex. Then Shawna got a boyfriend and April rarely heard from her.

“I’m just doomed to be single forever. I can’t go into Bloomington anymore, too many college students. I’m not dating 20-year-olds. I’ll just be a lonely dyke.”

Donna shrugged. She was always trying to set April up, but maybe April was meant to be single, masturbating alone in her canon in the woods.

When Leslie left, Ann settled into her desk. She placed a framed picture on top and April assumed it was a boyfriend or husband, but when she peered at it, saw it was a black cat.

“Gracie,” Ann explained. “She died last year, I had her since I was ten.”

That made April’s cold, black heart twinge a little bit. She loved animals.

“I’m sorry,” she mumbled.

“Thank you. I’ll probably get another cat at some point, but after I settle into this new job.”

Ann beamed up at April, her eyes crinkling. She had freckles across her nose.

April just nodded and walked away.

That night, April fell asleep with Ann’s toothy smile lingering in her brain.

Ann did turn out to be good at her job. She was on call the majority of the time, jumping into action anytime there was an injury on the trails. There was protocol if the hiker was able to walk, that they were expected to come to the office to Ann, if they chose medical care.

She was fast and attentive, and very gentle. A little girl came in after falling and scraping up her knee. Ann was able to distract her while she put antiseptic on the knee and got her patched up.

Even when someone ranted at her because of the roughness of the trails as she stitched them up, she kept that pleasant smile the whole time. The moment they left though, the smile dropped and she rolled her eyes at April, which made April laugh, for a second.

There weren’t any major emergencies, though, so Ann didn’t really have to wander into the woods to treat someone. She stayed at her desk anytime she was there, making logs of injuries that occurred on-site.

”This is a lot more pleasant than working at the hospital,” Ann said. It was just her and April that day, as Ron was out and about for park maintenance. It had been quiet because April was quiet and Ann seemed to be more than happy to sit in the silence. Apart from some humming.

”Yeah?” April asked, half-interested.

”Yeah, it was always so crazy there. I was always so tired and stressed out. I barely slept. I know it’s only been a couple of weeks, but I’m really enjoying myself.”

”That’s good.”

April hadn’t looked at Ann while she was talking. April wasn’t doing anything, just clicking around on her computer, but she liked to pretend she was busy sometimes. It was raining, so there wasn’t anything she could do outside.

”Have you worked here long?”

”A hundred years, I’m a ghost. I’ve been haunting Brown County. I’m the witch of Brown County.”

”Are you a ghost or a witch?”

”A ghost witch.”

April finally looked up and found Ann staring at her with a very amused look on her face. Her mouth spread out into a wide grin, and April had to look away again.

”Four years,” April finally said.

”Cool! What made you get into this?”

”I’m a dyke.”

April met Ann’s eye again. The woman was blinking, a dark blush spreading in her cheeks.

”Oh.”

April tensed a little bit, now on edge. Was she homophobic? She had seen that weird expression before and it was rarely good.

”I wanted to be a stereotype and be a butch in the woods,” April joked monotonously, eyeing Ann carefully.

”That’s cool,” Ann mumbled. She went back to work and silence fell over them.

April was annoyed for most of the day. Her opinion of Ann changed after that encounter, convinced Ann was a homophobe. Of course the hot woman was homophobic, it was Indiana after all. April hated being reminded of that.

She was annoyed when she went to bed, laying there in the darkness, listening to mice scrambling around in the thin walls. She went to sleep annoyed, and woke up annoyed.

She was going to have to talk to Ron about this because she could not work with a bigot. It was shocking that Leslie would even be friends with someone like that.

April was fully prepared to have that difficult conversation, chest puffed up, stride wide as she stepped into the office.

Until she looked over at Ann’s desk, and saw a lesbian pride on it.

Ann was walking from the kitchen as April stared at it.

”What’s that?”

”Uh, lesbian flag,” Ann said with a sheepish smile.

”If you’re doing that because of me…” April didn’t need annoying ally ship either. It was better than homophobia, but this was irritating too.

”No, it’s not you, really. I’m a lesbian,” Ann said.

April hadn’t had coffee yet, her brain struggling to catch up. She stared at the flag, then back at Ann, frowning.

”Huh?”

Ann passed to her desk and sat down. “I don’t tell people that that often, because you never know… But hearing you’re gay… Is that okay? If it’s not okay to have the flag out, I’ll put it away.”

Ann looked slightly panicked, way too vulnerable for April, but April relaxed. “No, it’s okay. I have a pride flag I put out sometimes. I like making some people mad.”

April flashed Ann a smile and Ann relaxed.

”I didn’t know you were gay,” April said after she got her coffee and settled.

”I’m not super open about it, unfortunately. There’s some trauma behind it.”

”But that’s on me for assuming you aren’t because you’re femme,” April said, her voice soft.

Ann didn’t respond. She fussed with her flag and started working on something. April watched her for a few minutes, noting the strange expression on Ann’s face. Rather than dwell on it, she went back to her own duties.

Ann left for a while to help someone with a broken leg, leaving April alone.

Ann was confusing her. She came out to April, but then went quiet. April didn’t often dwell too much, but she couldn’t stop obsessing about what she could’ve said to Ann to make her clam up.

April decided to not worry about it. The park ended up busy that day, so she was distracted by visitors coming through to get information, camping passes, grabbing maps. Ann didn’t come back until the end of April’s shift.

Things seemed fine between them by the time Ann returned, Ann much more relaxed and chipper again.

”What a beautiful day! It really is a nice park, I should actually go for a hike sometime,” she said, straightening up her desk.

”Hm, you should,” April said.

Ann peered at her, April peered back. Ann bit her lower lip and smiled.

”If only I knew a park ranger who knew all of the trails,” Ann said.

”Yes, Ron would be a great guide,” April said, grinning.

Ann tilted her head and raised her eyebrows.

April started to say ‘no’ but her mouth decided to work separately from her brain and she said, “sure, I’ll take you hiking,” instead. She cursed internally.

Ann’s smile was radiant. And April cursed again.

”I’m off on Friday, I can take you around.”

”I’m off too!” Ann said.

“Fine, I’ll meet you here at 6am.”

Ann winced slightly, to April’s delight, but she nodded. “That’s pretty early, but sure.”

April knew Ann lived in Bloomington, so that drive early in the morning would be rough. Maybe Ann would decide it was too early, that she was too tired, and April could get out of this.

”It’s very early, especially with your commute,” April said.

She was not excited to lead Ann around in the woods, because despite working in a county park now, Ann did not strike April as outdoorsy.

Sure enough, at 5:50 am, Ann showed up. She wore a t-shirt and cargo shorts. Her hair was pulled into a low ponytail.

Even in frumpy clothes, she looked cute, April had to admit.

”You ready?” Ann asked, rocking on her heels at the entrance of the office. She shifted the backpack flung over the shoulder.

”Yeah, are you? I’m not going to take it easy on you, I’m taking you all over.”

April had planned out the toughest trails, the longest ones. The plan wasn’t to torture Ann, really, but to break her in. If she wanted to work in a county park, she needed to be prepared to knew every inch of the trails.

”I’m ready!” Ann said with a nod.

”Okay, SpongeBob.”

April had packed granola bars, apples, bananas, some chips, and water. Ann had informed her that she brought sandwiches. April pretended she didn’t care, despite actually appreciating it.

April did ease Ann into the hike, choosing slightly more moderate trails, but gradually moved up to more difficult ones. Ann did keep up well, but she wasn’t very fast, at least by April’s standards. April was long-limbed and had a wide stride, so Ann had to a jog a little bit to keep up.

They stopped after a while to eat and drink water.

Ann was sweaty, her face bright red, and she still looked beautiful.

April huffed—to herself, mostly—and bit into the sandwich Ann had made. It was turkey, lettuce, mustard. Simple, but after a long hike, it tasted amazing. She made the mistake of looking over at Ann because the woman was sitting on a log, happily munching on her sandwich, and rubbing her feet into the dirt.

”Enjoying yourself?” April asked.

Ann stopped what she was doing, her legs stilling. “Yeah, I’m having a nice time…”

April copied Ann, her feet running back and forth through the soil. It was actually sort of pleasant, grounding. Ann went back to doing it too, grinning at April.

”I’m enjoying myself too,” April admitted.

They finished their lunch, peed, and resumed their hike. After some time, there was rumbling of thunder in the distance. April had checked the weather and it showed low chances earlier, but it was the summer so storms could pop up.

And it certainly did. In a matter of minutes, it was pouring, the wind picking up. April had grown to love the outdoors, but she hated the wind. She winced as it hit her face, the wind whipping her cropped hair in her face.

She looked over to see Ann trying to duck, hands clinging to her head.

”We need to get out of this!” Ann yelled.

April took Ann’s elbow, turning her. “My cabin isn’t far from here, we can go there.”

April wasn’t thrilled about bringing Ann to her cabin. It was her space, and she didn’t like people invading that. But she also didn’t like being rained on, and Ann looked miserable.

It took about 15 minutes to get there. April was wet and uncomfortable, her tanktop clinging to her skin. Ann’s hair was matted to her head, looking like a drowned rat. A pretty drowned rat.

They both sighed in relief the moment they stepped into April’s cabin. The temperature had also dropped from the storm, and while April’s cabin wasn’t very warm, it was better than being in the rain.

April flipped on a light, revealing her small living room/dining room.

Ann pushed her wet hair from her face and looked around. “It’s so cute!”

”Hm, thanks. It’s comfortable.”

”I’d love to get a cabin, but I haven’t found one near here yet,” Ann said.

With the wet t-shirt clinging to Ann, April noticed something. Ann was very flat-chested. April was too, but even her tits were noticeable in her wet tanktop, since she didn’t wear a bra.

Not that April was looking at Ann’s chest.

”Um, I have clothes you can wear. And I have a shower. So…” April led Ann to her bedroom and pointed at the bathroom door before she dug in her drawer, pulling out a t-shirt and sweatpants. When she turned, Ann was awkwardly standing by the bathroom door, but hadn’t started undressing.

”Um, you go ahead and do whatever. I’ll make tea.”

April shuffled out. Despite being chilled from the rain, she felt overheated. It was humid, so maybe it was that. Either way, she felt overstimulated, so she took her tanktop off. She’d put a shirt on before Ann was done taking a shower.

She started tea, then dug around in the fridge to see what they could eat. There was a possibility Ann was staying the night, so they needed dinner. There was potatoes, cheese, and chicken.

The rain picked up even more while she got out her cast-iron skillet and started cooking the potatoes.

She was very used to living alone, so, she forgot Ann was in her place. Until she heard someone clearing their throat.

April jumped and spun around. Ann stood in the doorway of the bedroom, rubbing in her arm.

”Ann! Shit, sorry, I forgot… Um, sorry.” April put her arms over her chest.

”It’s okay, April. They’re just boobs,” Ann giggled. But she still looked shy as she stepped into the kitchen. “Smells good. I’ll take over while you get dressed. If you want to get dressed, I mean, it’s your place so you can stay… Um, you don’t have to get dressed if you don’t want. Not that I’m leering at you!”

Ann’s face turned redder and redder as she spoke. It made April smile.

”Oh, you’re a dork,” April said. “Yes, I’m going to get dressed. Can’t have you leering at my tits.”

April handed Ann the wooden spoon as she passed her. The moment she was out of Ann’s view, she bit her thumb. Ann stumbling over herself was the cutest thing she ever saw. She flexed her fingers, trying to shake off what she assumed was cuteness aggression because she wanted to shake Ann.

After a quick shower, she stepped back into the kitchen, to aromas filling the space.

”That smells good,” she said, standing right behind Ann. As Ann started to turn towards April saw her little smile at a different angle. Her eyes flickering back to meet April’s eye.

”Thanks. I added some more rosemary. I’m assuming you’re doing like a cheesy potato and chicken skillet, right?”

April nodded.

She wordlessly took the spoon back from Ann. Ann had already added the chicken, so April put the shredded cheese in with everything else.

”Go sit down, you’re my guest,” April said. “You’re probably tired from that hike.”

Ann stepped away from the stove, but didn’t go far. She hovered next to April, watching her cook. The looming presence of Ann was a little bit much, but she smelled nice, like April’s shampoo. Not that April was smelling her, but Ann happened to be close enough and April’s nose was there and…

”Um, I think it’s ready,” she mumbled.

”Oh! I’ll grab plates and stuff,” Ann said.

Ann apparently had already looked because she knew where the plates and silverware were. April observed Ann while she carefully laid out the plates. The other woman looked strangely content, circling the table, like she belonged right there.

”Are you going to serve the food?” Ann asked.

April realized she had been zoning out while staring at Ann. “Uh, yeah.”

She picked up the skillet and scooped two hefty servings onto the plates.

”Sorry, I eat pretty big dinners because I’m outside a lot,” April said. She patted her bicep. “And I gotta stay bulked up.”

Ann giggled. “It’s okay, I eat quite a bit too.”

This turned out to be very true because after her first plate, Ann shyly helped herself to a second.

“Is this okay?” She asked, a forkful hovering by her mouth.

”Yeah. We did hike like 8 miles today.”

Ann smiled before she took a bite. “Thank you for taking me out, I feel like I know the park a lot better.”

”There’s a waterful you didn’t get to see, so, uh, I could take you there sometime.” April pushed the remaining bits of food on her plate around, eyes dropping down to it.

”That sounds awesome, dude, I’d love to,” Ann said. She took another bite and smiled around the food, making April laugh.

”Okay, ‘dude’, I’ll make sure to check the weather more.”

”Yeah, you really shit the bed with that, huh?” Ann gibed.

April tried to keep her face neutral, not let Ann think she was funny, but Ann’s smile was so silly April couldn’t stop her own smile.

”I guess my nature skills aren’t as good as I thought,” April said. ”I shouldn’t felt the air or some shit.”

”I mean, you can feel when a storm is coming. The barometric pressure and the wind direction…”

”Fucking nerd,” April mumbled behind her teacup.

“I bet you know a lot about flora and fauna.”

April did, but Ann didn’t need to know that. Not yet. April didn’t reveal her nerdiness until she was farther in the relationship. No, not relationship—friendship. That one.

”A bit,” she said.

Ann didn’t push, but April could tell she knew. She finished her second plate and leaned back.

”That was very good, April, thank you.”

”You’re welcome. Anyway, you better head out,” April said as she stood up and gathered the plates. She looked back at Ann to see her blinking.

”Oh, yeah, uh… it’s still raining,” she said. “And it’s late. But, okay…”

Ann slid away from the table and she did look like she was prepared to leave. April rolled her eyes and nudged Ann with her elbow.

”Dummy, I’m not making you leave, you can stay here.”

”Oh! I guess I can sleep on the couch.”

April knew she should say ‘yes, you can sleep on the couch’ but she knew that couch was awful for sleeping on, she couldn’t do that to Ann.

”Nah, sleep with me.” She cleared her throat. “Uh, sleep in my bed.”

”Yeah?”

”Yeah.”

”…I don’t know, I’m pretty homophobic, so I don’t think I could share a bed with a lesbian.”

Ann straightened out her mouth as she clearly was trying to not smile. April found herself grinning, making Ann smile too.

“Sorry, you will have to sleep with a lesbian tonight.”

“It’s been awhile, anyway,” Ann said, immediately blushing after she said it. “Sorry.”

April smirked. “Same for me.”

They both got ready for bed. While Ann brushed her teeth, April wriggled under the covers, and made sure there was a respectable distance for her and Ann. When Ann joined her in the bed, April realized her bed was somewhat small because Ann was nearly touching her.

April tensed slightly. “You good with me turning out the light?” April asked.

Ann yawned and nodded. “I’m ready to sleep.”

Darkness fell in the room. Ann fell asleep almost immediately, soft snores coming from her. April laid there, staring up at the ceiling. Her mind was buzzing with half-formed thoughts, tired enough to not really be thinking of anything, too wired to actually fall asleep.

At one point Ann flipped over on her side, facing April and now even closer to April. The top of her head was practically in April’s face, April’s nose right above the crown. That shampoo smell, despite being April’s, smelled slightly different coming from Ann.

Again, April didn’t mean to sniff her but she was right there and April was pretty lonely. Not, like, in a pathetic way. She could get a woman if she wanted, she just… hated people and hated women.

But with Ann nearly rolling on top of her, April was becoming painfully aware of how lonely she was.

Grunting, April turned her head so she wasn’t smelling Ann anymore.

Breathing slowly, trying to ignore Ann’s warm body, sleepiness started to overcome her, her eyes drifting closed, with Ann so close to her. April fell asleep with her arms stiffly at her sides, Ann’s head crooked slightly towards her.

And April woke up a couple hours later with Ann’s head on her chest, and April’s arms wrapped around her. Ann was still very much asleep, drooling and snoring, but April was now wide awake.

Ann’s chest was pressed against April’s side, rising and falling with each deep breath. Being the lesbian April was, she couldn’t help but note that there were no breasts being pressed against her. Was Ann that flat-chested?

It wasn’t April’s business. She just needed to sleep.

She tried focusing on her own breathing, not Ann’s annoyingly cute snoring, and force herself to relax. She dozed, but didn’t fully fall back to sleep.

Ann stirred next to her, inhaling sharply through her nose.

“April?” She asked groggily.

“I’m here.”

“What time is it?”

“A little after 3am.”

Ann yawned, but didn’t remove her head from April’s chest. “Why are you awake?”

And April didn’t remove her arms from Ann’s body. She even tightened further, and Ann didn’t pull away. She relaxed.

“Stuff on my mind.”

“Like what?”

April absently stroked Ann’s spine. Ann sighed softly.

“Your snoring was keeping me awake, actually,” April said.

Ann stiffened, before starting to laugh. Her laugh was a hearty chuckle, making April smile in the dark.

“I don’t snore.”

April mimicked Ann’s snore— exaggerating it only slightly—until it made her cough. Ann giggled, and before April knew it, Ann’s mouth was on April’s neck.

April jolted but didn’t move away. Ann froze.

“I’m sorry, I don’t know why I did that…” Ann mumbled, her breath hot on April’s throat. April wanted Ann’s mouth back on there immediately.

“It’s okay.”

April tapped her fingers against Ann’s vertebrae like she was playing a clarinet. One hand settled there, massaging into Ann’s spine. The other drifted down, resting on the soft flesh of Ann’s lower back.

“It’s okay,” she repeated.

Ann took that as her cue to plant her mouth back on April’s throat, sucking more earnestly now. April arched her long neck, giving Ann more room. Ann rewarded her with teeth nipping at the tender flesh.

An ache built between April’s legs, her highly sensitive clit making itself known. The T she had been taking made her clitoral erections much more noticeable than they used to be, including the slight size difference—roughly an inch—so when she became aroused, she was very much aware of it.

“Ann…” she sighed.

“Good?” Ann panted against April’s neck.

Her hands were trailing up under April’s shirt, pressing them against April’s toned abs. Ann made a pleased grunting noise.

“Fuck, those abs…”

Yeah, April wanted Ann to fuck her abs. She pressed her thighs together, her boxers already soaked.

Ann removed herself from April’s arms—to April’s brief disappointment—but immediately rolled over, flipping herself so she was on top of April. She hiked April’s shirt up just enough to expose April’s stomach. Ann’s hands were replaced by her hot, wet mouth, her tongue swirling around April’s hard stomach,

April’s hips bucked up, trying to seek any friction she could. But Ann was taking her time on April’s stomach, mouthing at the muscles on the way April wanted her mouth on her clit. She was under the assumption Ann was going to fuck her, that they were going to fuck each other, but that was an assumption.

She wanted to fuck Ann too.

Her hands buried in Ann’s sleep mussed hair. With some roughness she yanked Ann’s head back. Ann grunted.

“Sorry, was that too much?” April asked.

“It’s so good…” Ann said with a shudder.

“I haven’t been with anyone in awhile. My body is… a little different since then.”

It was too dark to see Ann’s face, but she slowed, her thumb stroking April’s side.

“Mine too,” Ann said.

“Yeah?”

Ann reached over and flipped the light on. Her face was beautifully flushed and April wanted to see how much more flushed April could make her.

“I haven’t been super comfortable with my body for awhile,” Ann said, sitting back on April’s legs. “I came out as a lesbian a few years ago, but I still didn’t feel quite right. I am a lesbian but my body didn’t always feel like my own. It depends, it changes with my mood, but there were some things I wanted to try.”

“I’m on T,” April interjected in an attempt to relate to Ann. “Low dose, enough to give me some body hair, helps with muscle tone, and…”

April pressed her fingers against her clit through her boxers. “Bottom growth.”

Ann blinked a few times, before her mouth spread into a wide grin.

“Me too,” she said.

April’s mouth went dry. Her tongue pressed into the inside of her bottom lip. “Oh yeah?”

Ann took April’s hand and pulled it beneath her sweatpants, past a substantial bush, until April’s fingertips touched it. She wasn’t great at guessing lengths but she guessed around two inches of bottom growth was protruding between Ann’s legs. She was rock hard so it was very noticeable.

April pinched it between her fingers, stroking it, jerking Ann off. Ann’s eyes rolled back, her body shuddering.

“Fuck, that feels good… I’ve never had anyone touch it since it’s changed.”

“Does your big, hard cock want me?” April asked, her voice rough.

Ann’s clit—cock, since Ann seemed to like that—twitched between April’s fingers. April rolled the tip. Ann’s mouth fell open, her eyes nearly closed.

“I want your dick on my stomach. Is that okay?”

Ann nodded aggressively. She shimmied out of her sweatpants. She was soaked, the hair matted and messily pushed around. Her cock stood at attention, the engorged clit poking out from her bush. Her legs were flung over April’s torso, her crotch hovering over April stomach. When she lowered herself down, April bit into her lip to stifle a groan when Ann’s hot, wet cunt and hard clit pressed to her stomach.

Ann began to ride April, taking her pleasure immediately into her own hands. While April now wished she was an active participant, she also loved seeing Ann taking control. The other woman… person? April needed to ask about Ann’s gender identity. April considered herself a woman, in a way, but also not. Or a different kind of woman.

Ann drove her hips down, the saliva she had left there quickly being replaced by her slick. She was utterly needy, taking as much pleasure from April’s hard stomach as she could.

“Fuck, I wish I knew how good this could feel,” Ann groaned. “I’m gonna come all over you.”

April watched her, mouth dumbly hanging open, unable to form a human language. Her brain was in her clit, the only sensation she was aware of was her throbbing clit and Ann’s hard dick on her stomach.

“Come,” April mumbled.

Her hands started to slide up Ann’s soft stomach, towards her chest, but Ann stopped her.

“I have a… thing about my chest. I’m not there yet.”

April nodded, immediately understanding. She rested her hands on Ann’s hips instead, locking her in place, helping Ann take as much pleasure as she could.

And Ann was. She relaxed again once April’s hands were away from her chest.

As Ann was inevitably was getting closer—April could tell by how loud Ann was getting, the loudest April had heard her—April moved her hands down to Ann’s ass. The meaty flesh fit nicely in April’s long hands.

April tensed her abs as much as she could, giving Ann a nice, hard surface to grind on. Ann threw her head back, her long neck exposed to April. God, April wanted her teeth in that. She wanted her mouth on Ann’s dick.

She wanted Ann’s mouth on her own dick.

“I’m so hard,” April whispered. “I’m so fucking hard, watching you.”

That threw Ann over the edge. She shuddered, her cunt spasming against April’s stomach, her clit twitching. Come spread down either side of April’s stomach, and it was the hottest thing April had ever seen.

Watching Ann come all over her sparked something deep within her primal lizard brain, something instinctual and downright horny. April rubbed her thighs together.

“I need to come,” she almost whined. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes.

“Oh, April…” Ann’s face softened once she recovered from her orgasm. “Of course.”

April was staring at Ann’s still hard clit. If they had time she was going to get that in her mouth, but right now if she didn’t come she might have a fit.

Ann wriggled down April’s body until her face was level with April’s crotch. April grasped the back of Ann’s head, impatient and way too eager, pushed Ann’s head down. Ann didn’t tease, her tongue immediately lapping at April’s clit.

Ann was attentive to every groan and twitch of April’s body. Every nerve ending was on fire, her face hot.

She wasn’t normally a premature ejaculator but it had been awhile since she got laid, and Ann was surprisingly skillful, and Ann’s mouth was all over her cunt…

April came sharply, her spine arching almost painfully. Her legs wrapped around Ann’s back, pushing her face deeper into her pulsing cunt. Ann licked at her carefully, extending the orgasm until April couldn’t take it anymore.

She pushed Ann’s head back, being met with Ann’s shiny face and pleased smile.

“Oh, you’re good,” April said, brushing Ann’s sweaty hair from her forehead.

“You sound surprised. I’m not a virgin, I’ve fucked women before. Just… not in awhile.”

April helped Ann back up the bed so Ann was level with April again.

Ann’s sleepy gaze was too tender for April’s liking so April turned her head to stare at the ceiling. This was just fucking, April wasn’t looking for a relationship. And she hoped Ann felt the same.

“Maybe I need to get out more, I forgot how good head is,” April said, trying to diffuse the tightness building in her chest.

“Oh, yeah, I guess I need to get out more,” Ann mumbled.

They went quiet. April started overthinking it, that she had offended Ann, that Ann did have feelings for her and April shut that down. But April was sure she didn’t want a relationship, with anyone. She wasn’t interested in being accountable for another person’s feelings— her own were enough of a challenge.

Ann was a sweet person, but April couldn’t see herself with someone like her. Who April could see herself with, she didn’t know.

Maybe just completely alone, in the woods. That might not be too bad.

The silence was stretching for far too long so April turned her head to see Ann passed out, her mouth agape. It was cute but ridiculous so April carefully closed Ann’s mouth. Ann roused slightly but immediately slipped back to sleep.

She flipped the light off, debating her position before deciding to chill out and curl up beside Ann. This wasn’t the start of something major so there was no reason to be freaked out about cuddling and falling asleep in Ann’s arms. It was slightly chilly in the cabin, so it was logical to spoon Ann and fall asleep against her warm body.

It was nothing more.
